SuperSkoda issue

Featured Replies

Good Evening,

Has anyone had any issues with SuperSkoda? be it deliver/communication!

I received my order just over a month ago (was dead excited) however some of the required parts i.e. screws, bracket and so on where missing. They had sent me an email asking me to check and let them know if anything was missing, I emailed them the same day however however I haven't heard anything from them and they haven't responded to a "follow up" email I sent week and half ago!! :(

What do you recon I could do? (I want to buy something else from there website but I'm not to sure now if I really do)

not much help but there've been a few posts lately about Superskodas lacadasical approach to customer service.

Hum, well i think that is lesson learnt the hard way!

Do you know of any other website simular (but better)?

I was going to add something but it looks as if mannyo has done it for me!

Was just about to order from them until I found this post. Don't think I'll bother now

Well i can honestly say i have never had a bad experience with superskoda, latest buys badge less grill bonnet struts parts missing sent email 1 week later turned up. What exactly did you buy ?

I ordered a set of hood dampers (O2-HDAMP), which they have now split into two seperate parts on the website and a new window control unit (which was fine).

Generally speaking, if things go ok and the parts you get are ok then there are no problems. Things go wrong when the parts that are delivered are broken/bits missing or even used, in these cases customer service can be very hit and miss.

Thats naughty if thats what they did i pre ordered mine for an offer price, waited about a month while they were fine tuning them got them about a month ago.

Ye that is what I did, just i'm missing some of the stuff! and they don't seem to reply to any of the questions unless it is about money, not very happy :(

Think I'm going to send them another email tonight!

Is it the m6 and m8 balls that are missing { is it the parts the struts fit onto } or are there other bits.

Yes missing both and also one of the brakets (got two of the same - think I missing the right hand side).

Thats a headache mate i could have helped you out with the bolts as i bought some then the others arrived, one thing i will say they are very strong struts even with only one on if you want i will send you the bolts you are welcome to them just send a message with details and i will send you them.I take the right hand bracket you mean drivers side well the hole the strut fits to will be on the road side and vice versa near side to outside hope this helps.

Defonatly is a headache, I was hopeing to have them fitted before I went to a car show early this month! Well in that case I have the nearside braket and yes they do feel rather sturdy!

Pm'd re the bolts thank you.

Make sure the writing end goes to the bonnet bracket mate wont you, fit that end first if its near side only you will need help as the bonnet stay grommet has to come out as the end of the strut uses that hole.

If you get stuck just look on the superskoda site as there is a fitting guide on there. LoL

Thanks for the heads up, will make sure that is done. Sound like I will have to pick on one of my mates then! :p

Ironic! I've watched the video and it looks pritty straight forward.

Piece of pie mate just take it nice and slow 15 minute job at most send bits out today first class for you, have a good one. It may help if you email them a picture of the bits you received good luck.

I really doubt the positive reviews after my experience with them. You can't do something very right and then the same something very very wrong. It's not just bad customer service. It's bad everything. You would expect late replies or even missed ones from a small company. But when you sell something and you don't deliver then it's plain stealing, not bad customer service.

I wrote them 3 emails to ask about different parts on their site. They answered none. I took a risk and placed a small order. They indeed shipped it very fast. But surprise, to a wrong address. It arrived in Romania and it was stored by GLS. After few calls and emails and 4 hours in between I managed to find the problem. They wrote the wrong town. Instead of the one I gave them, they put a czech or slovak town.

And surprisingly I also got an email from them about this problem with only one line:

"contact asap with GLS, as they cannot deliver the package due to your incorrect adress."

Due to my incorrect address. They didn't even bother to check if the address they wrote is the correct one. Now the only thing that could happen is to receive other items instead of the ones I ordered.

I ordered soem bits last week, turned up today, no problems! You dotn think the customer service is because they are polish or czech or whatever do you? Different expectations?

They're czech. But I doubt that in czech republic they expect to be treated badly :)

I rather think it's because they're a small company and not very business orientated. I've had a similar experience when I bought a watch from a small company in Germany. They only replied to emails about problems with the order. So they are several classes above superskoda :) For other type of inquiries you had to resend the same email several times before getting an answer.

You are right nobody should be treated badly when you are paying for goods up front. And yes they should reply and hold there hands up when they are wrong, what i think the problem is with a lot of these companies here and abroad is the cost of sending items out again, which is down to them not your selfs. So deaf ears seems to be the answer, personally when that has happened to me i go to pay pall item not as described and get my cash back and not use the said company again.

Like i said earlier i have had no issues to date with superskoda,if i did and they did not put it right that would be the last. The downside is most of there products are a perfect fit for our vehicles and are properly tried and tested also the finish is what you would expect.

Kidology, its' not a thing about cost. When you write to ask more details about items they sell and they don't answer, what's the cost there? What do they save? It's been over a month since my first email to them and I still have no reply. What's the point of publishing an email address on your website if you don't read/reply to the emails you get there?

What's the cost in saying "I'm sorry, I was wrong"? They sent me an email today to contact GLS because I gave a wrong delivery address. After 4 hours lost with phones and emails to GLS I finally found a person who could gave me the address they wrote on the package. An invalid address, with a czech town in Romania. I wrote them and told them that THEY wrote the wrong address, not me. I even sent them a copy of my identity card with the address that I filled correctly on their website. You would imagine they should at least reply to say they were sorry. Well, nothing again. That's not cost cutting. It's purely bad way to run your business.

And to that you are 100% correct i can not answer that one, and am not getting into an argument about your experience, all i can say i have had loads of stuff and always delivered within a week.
