Terraclean

Has anyone tried it on their octavia?

Did you notice any difference?

How much did it cost?

I to would be very interested to hear what people.who.have used it what they have to say. Particularly diesels

Snake Oil.

Had this carried out on my 08 Octavia 105 bhp tdi which was barely making 48 to the gallon running locally, and 53 mpg on a long run.

The difference was very noticeable, smoother idle, more power, able to trickle along at 30 MPH in 5th with no judder. The mpg is now at just over 53 mpg running locally, so now waiting to go on a long run to see if I get closer to 60 mpg.

The cost at the garage was £108, expensive yes, but if the car is still running like this in a couple of years time, well worth it.

I have been told that they've brought out something called the s-tool which is supposed to solve the direct injection problem.

As an aside, how much would it cost to get the engine de-carbonised at an independent?

Am having this done here saturday of next week as my skoda has big miles on it but she runs well.

Anyone else had their skoda done??

Did you get it done mate, would you recommend

I'd have said stick some decent fuel in along with something like Millers and get the engine nice and hot before giving it an Italian tune!

I've had my Clio done, did absolute FA, none of those bottle fuel tank ones seem to work too well either

Snake Oil.

That's certainly the impression their website gives, on their page that explains how it works it doesn't actually detail any of the process instead repeatedly going on about a zero emission project which doesn't sound like it has any relevance:

It will clean injectors and thats why cars often idle better, it does work , whether the process is worth £130 is another matter though

Can do it for £30 elsewhere

There is a carbon cleaning guy on facebook who does this in hertfordshire. Google youtube and it shows people adding A tiny amount of water to the intake. Supposedly creates steam to break down the carbon.

Sorry only getting this now. Yea it runs well. easier on fuel by 3-4 mpg and smoother at really low rpm. She used to jutter badly in 6th at 34mph, she can now happyily sit at 30mph in 6th

It works, it's not a gimmick.

Ive had a few cars done, mostly taxis

My 09 plate passat 2.0 140 was done, has 200k on it, drove fantastic after the service was completed

My wife's old pd130 golf, 170k, sticky turbo veins and generally poor running, done a EGR clean & fuel treatment with 2 different terraclean tools & again couldn't believe the drive afterwards, it was as if they fitted w new engine

Had another couple taxis done & drivers say mpg is better & car runs better

G

They had an AC Cobra on Wheeler Dealers the other day (repeat), and the effect the Terraclean made on the emissions was very impressive.

Two friends have had it done, one seemed indifferent at the results (330d) and another who seemed pleased (320d). I want to try it, but it's a fair chunk for £££ if it doesn't do anything...

Only about £100

These guys do it as well, and for £99 I might just give it a go, if it improves the general running and performance then I'll be happy. Might just help the car live that bit longer, or save a bit of fuel over time.

I've now had it done to my car a couple of weeks ago and fairly pleased with the results!

More importantly why on hells name are you in 6th gear at 30mph anyways?

4th is about the highest you want to go at 30mph
