  • Would TPS not have the mount kits in stock? I've always used them for everything and maximum wait for any parts has been 24hrs so far... Iirc, front top mounts and bearings for my Mk4 Golf were £15 a

  • This is what you want http://www.buycarparts.co.uk/sachs/1229942

  • I've been advised just to do the fronts. Bump stops come in the coilover kit.

Yeah, each box should come with the mount that has 3 bolt holes, and the bearing ring bit.

Part number on box says, 609440810.

They are SKF.

I've gone for the cheaper ak fk street kit from DPM, I know its not the best quality but it's all I can afford at the moment.

if I get on with them I will upgrade eventually.

Coolio. Can you confirm it's the full package when you get them please?

I've just ordered front top mounts with bearings, rear top mounts and rear bump stops from TPS.

£176? Does that sound right? Seems a bit high compared to other prices I've seen?

I got them over the counter as bedford had them in stock. And yes each box had two parts in them

that seams very very pricey, about £100 max I'd say.

I ordered Sachs top mounts with bearings x2 (£64) and Febi 36720 103mm rear bump stops x2 (£11.05) from amazon so all in including delivery for £75. I'd say yours does seem a little steep as you have in theory paid £100 for 2 rear top mount which may or may not need replacing.

Anyone. I am looking for a kit to lower the VRS by 30mm.  Saw this:

http://www.ap-suspensions.co.uk/ap-sport-suspension-210.html

I am waiting on confirmation from Ap that the VRS will be lowered by 30mm.

Any other suggestions???

Seems it only lowers 20mm. What kit will drop 30mm (VRS CR 2010)??

Your Vrs is already 10/15mm lower than standard so you need to take that into consideration when looking at lowering a car that is already on sport suspension.

I'm installing a Bilstein B12 kit (30mm) and my Sport is already 15mm lower than standard so all I can expect is a further 15mm, the kit is top quality stuff so the ride and handling will be greatly improved!

You will need h&r -50 mm springs to go 30mm lower on a Vrs. I've got the same kit as Billywhiz to go in a bilstein b12 kit which comprises of b8 shortened sports dampers and matching -30mm springs. My kit came with the springs that are only rated upto 1020kg. I need the 1020kg + springs so the eibachs I have will fit these dampers but will only give me another 10-15mm drop on my vrs. I'm thinking of ordering -50mm h&r springs to reach -30mm on the vrs. If you go for these -50mm springs on standard dampers then the ride wil still be a bit bouncy and your dampers will wear rapidly. -30mm eibachs on standard dampers will last a bit longer as a bit of a happy medium, or it's coilovers really.

Do I need to order front bump stops when fitting Bilstein B8 Dampers? They are being mated to -50mm H&R springs.

I've ordered:

1) Front Top Mounts- With bearings.

2) Rear Bump Stops.

Thanks for any help.

No because they are internally fitted into the B8 monotube dampers, that info came directly to me from Bilstein!

Awesome! Thank you for that. Can't wait to get everything fitted at the weekend. My dampers are seriously mashed! Been running standard vRS dampers on -50mm springs for over a year!
