I guess it's all according to whether you'd filled the car up  :think:

Welcome Debbie  :hi:

It was filled up to the top, last week we had done 89 miles and it used quater of a tank and only cost £8.45 we like to fill up to the top each week if we can, its booked in for tomorrow to be looked at but hubby says its ok but then moans at me, lol, and thanks for the welcome.

It also depends on the size of the tank of course.

If it's new, I'd brim it, then run a couple of tankfulls through it before I started worrying about mpg.

If you know how much per litre you paid for the £8.45's worth, it's straightforward to work out the mpg, viz;

£8.45 / £1.33ppl = 6.35 litres / 4.545 = 1.40 gallons / 89 miles = 63.6mpg, which isn't bad at all in my book.

I'm currently paying £1.33, so just used that as an example - you might need to adjust the figures.
