I give the Skoda tel no. some credit, my call was answered very quickly, by a human being talking and not some voice saying "for xxx press 1 , for yyy press 2" - BTW - often pressing the # key gets you through to a human on automated phone systems - work's for my bankline anyway...

And I must say the telephone manner was top notch (it was a woman) and she obviously knew her stuff because she gave me some good info. I did feel at the end of it though it was the dealer's perogative to void my warranty, where as I always thought it was Skoda UK's responsibility to honour warranty claims (and therefore it was them who could say YES to my springs, or NO, as the dealer said.)

Never mind - I've done it now, and I'm not going back.
