  • Picked up the RS today.     Obviously I am in the honeymoon period, but I'd like to think I've done a reasonable amount of test drives and owned enough to give me a decent feeling for a car.

  • Had the Fiesta ST back for a couple of days now, since it's turbo kit was installed.     Kit consisted of: Peron V1 Superstock hybrid turbocharger, (spool from 1200rpm, peak torque at 2500rpm a

  • As many will know, the ST-3 was sold at 18 months old with 11,000 miles on the clock.     Fast forward a few months....   I went looking for another. Even with my fleet discount a new ST-3 was mor

And not forgetting the seatbelt height adjustment in the pillar!

So much for keeping it secret!

Glad they excepted your deposit, and as far as "we" can work out they are making a loss. Unless they are slightly low on there A8 target, and if they don't reach there No by the end of Quarter it would cost them a lot more.

Also forgot to say yesterday that Drive the Deal have lost at least two of there Audi suppliers, as they wanted us to supply, but we said no due to the discounts they wanted.

Think an A8 cruseing round Coombe would look quite good, switch it into Dynamic mode, might surprise a few.

A8 including two front memory 22 way adjustable high quality seats.

Mind-blown. Think I would spend all the car journey seeing what position I prefer ;)

PS - You know I would love one of these!

Yes, for the last two weeks DTD will price an A8 or A6 with about 10% less/not as good discount, but state they currently can't order.

So I guessed something was up.

So what cars go to be replaced with the A8 ?

In theory all the road cars.

Hence my A8 has the electric folding towbar.

But who knows...

Now that I like!

Excellent stuff.

The Yeti VRS is a project likely to keep me busy while the Citigo is done.

After that, who knows...

Took the ST to Goodwood Festival of Speed today.

Almost three hours to get there and over three hours back.  No stops enroute.

No issues with comfort, back ache etc...  pretty good for a stiffly sprung hot hatch, seats are really comfortable once you get used to them.

Have now done 2,500 miles.  Averaging 41mpg.

Good day out?

Yes, very. :)

Did you see the new civic type r there ?

averaging 41mpg over the 2.5k miles or just today's journey? :)

That's since new.

It's low 40s on a run, high 30s with a bit of whizzing about.

That's just 4 mpg less than my Fabia over the last 23,000 miles. Incredible :)

if you drive it like I'd imagine (similar to me perhaps), that's really very impressive for a grin inducing 200ps hot hatch! :)

You have to remember over half my miles are commuting into London, so much chance of wizzing about.

Great value for money for such a small car that would embarrass lots of other cars on the road. A8 sounds even better especially for the long journey into and out of London.

Fuel economy is great on the fezza.

I managed to get mine to 68.8 on the way down to Lakeside the other week and the way back was 70.2 so was well chuffed with that. Makes it a lot harder to get rid of when I start using my mk1 to and fro. The mod demons, i.e. looking at these forums... keep making me want to spend more on it LOL.

If I can swing the insurance I'll try and keep it. :)

Yes, if I'd never found this forum I'd have saved a fortune. :D
