Looks great :) you have some skills!

I may ask you to fit a blackvue into my fabia at some point.

Front can be done at a meet.

Rear is a bit more time, so would need to organise.

  • Picked up the RS today.     Obviously I am in the honeymoon period, but I'd like to think I've done a reasonable amount of test drives and owned enough to give me a decent feeling for a car.

  • Had the Fiesta ST back for a couple of days now, since it's turbo kit was installed.     Kit consisted of: Peron V1 Superstock hybrid turbocharger, (spool from 1200rpm, peak torque at 2500rpm a

  • As many will know, the ST-3 was sold at 18 months old with 11,000 miles on the clock.     Fast forward a few months....   I went looking for another. Even with my fleet discount a new ST-3 was mor

I can certainly see why you like the Ford ST, even with the issues I have had with my Mondeo, now it is sorted is a good all round car,

It seems to get a lot of favourible reviews too.

EVO magazine (who generally know what they are on about) seem to like it a lot and I noticed this week it was in a hot hatch battle with the new MINI Cooper and Audi S1.

The mountuned ST3 won and was the only car that got 5 stars.  Based on overall fun/package rather than just outright speed of course as the S1 is quicker/more basic/a lot more expensive.

They did mention the ride being a bit firm, which is completely correct.

Really sounds like a cracking little car, glad you're enjoying it. Seriously considering a Mk3 Focus ST Estate as my next car (in a few years though).

Yes, I am really lking it.

More than I thought if I am honest.

Planned to keep it short term.  It might last longer. :D

Am now averaging 40mpg too driving normally, which is more than I was expecting from a 200+bhp Fiesta.

It's a craking little car, great looking and nice inside...Really like the look of these and with 200bhp plus this must be super fast...!!!

I will have to look that up, I have had one ford before a bog standard 1.8 TDCI Focus, and was impressed with that. I will have to take a look at the Fiesta maybe as the next car, can try and sell the idea to SWMBO as it is a small fast car and she would probs drive it!

She won't touch the Mondeo as its "too big"

Did you collect them in the Fiesta, enough space in the boot I'd guess?

Yes, I got all four 17" rims in the boot this evening.

All fitted under the parcel shelf without issue.

I don't remember the Fiesta having a boot like that, but the new one actually seems quite large for a car I considered quite small.

All part of constant upsizing with every new generation I guess.

Yep, this one is the size of the Mk1 Focus I reckon.

No.

Boo :(

Would like to have seen it in action - what's coming instead?

Are the wheels all gun metal?

Sitting stationary while the front wheels go round. ;)

I'll probably be in the Yeti VRS or Skyline.

The ST doesn't do well on a Rolling Road, due to a higher gear being used and the over boost cutting after 15 seconds.

So it's going well... Then tails off before reaching peak power.

Hence don't really see the point.

Yes, the wheels are a gunmetal colour.

Both sets.

My Toyo 888s arrived today. :)

And I got a puncture on the way to work.

Only as they are reinforced low profiles I got to work without realising due to no slack in the driving experience (last part is traffic) and lack of tyre pressure sensors.

So one dead tyre and £130+VAT for a new one...

Looked like it was down to 15psi or so, but it was actually 0 !!!

It's well specced, as you'd expect.

Sat nav, bluetooth, cruise, parking sensors, heated Recaro seats, climate control, auto lights and wipers, keyless entry and go, power folding mirrors, etc...

Looks a bit fish faced to me though.

More later... wish I could turn off the "sporty" sound generator.  They tell me you can't.

It's attached to the go pedal, so if you are in a high gear at low speed and mash the pedal you get lots of exhaust "noise" but don't actually go anywhere!

Great cars...

I chopped my vRS in for the Fiesta ST-2 - ST3 were just out of my price budget.

As much as I like this car as it's the best hot hatch out there IMO, I've had to face facts that a 5 door is better for us as a family and I am trying to downsize the number of vehicles we have.

So I've ordered something with the dreaded four rings on the front... :peek: (oh, the shame)

If anyone wants a cracking and well specced car, this will be for sale in September.

It'll have around 8,000 miles on it and be almost 6 months old.

List was almost £21k and I paid a bit over £18.

I expect it'll go for around £16k (give or take £500) due to being an ST3 with the Mountune 215 upgrade, spare wheel and parking sensors.

Audi S1 Richard?

Audi S1 Richard?

Don't really want to say Joe.

I've managed to get a huge discount through an internet dealer.

Put a deposit down today.

Let's wait and see if they can actually do it for the price as I think they are losing money on the sale...

To be honest I'm still getting over the shock of ordering an Audi.

Just seems wrong as a Skoda fan. :D

Rs4 avant :D?
