  • Picked up the RS today.     Obviously I am in the honeymoon period, but I'd like to think I've done a reasonable amount of test drives and owned enough to give me a decent feeling for a car.

  • Had the Fiesta ST back for a couple of days now, since it's turbo kit was installed.     Kit consisted of: Peron V1 Superstock hybrid turbocharger, (spool from 1200rpm, peak torque at 2500rpm a

  • As many will know, the ST-3 was sold at 18 months old with 11,000 miles on the clock.     Fast forward a few months....   I went looking for another. Even with my fleet discount a new ST-3 was mor

You did.

Well done on your purchase and thanks for sharing. :D

Still happy with the ST-3 though, I like the extras.

Knowing what I know now I'd be looking closer to £16k-£17k.

Still want someone to take the fez to Combe? :)

Picked this up today.

It's well specced, as you'd expect.

Sat nav, bluetooth, cruise, parking sensors, heated Recaro seats, climate control, auto lights and wipers, keyless entry and go, power folding mirrors, etc...

Looks a bit fish faced to me though.

More later... wish I could turn off the "sporty" sound generator.  They tell me you can't.

It's attached to the go pedal, so if you are in a high gear at low speed and mash the pedal you get lots of exhaust "noise" but don't actually go anywhere!

Looks like you need an operators licence to work that dash!! :)

Ignore your Fabia and take this :)

Richard, you may recognise this car if you venture onto the other forums.

Watching it on track at trax the other day it really is a work of art. Passing evo's and 450bhp focus RS's for fun lol.

Ok, its is running the naughty side of 300bhp but boy is it a track weapon !!

The Fiesta being under 1200kg means they are quick when tuned and a number of firms are bringing out hybrid or bigger turbos for 270-300+bhp.

Problem it while quicker I think upgrading the brakes and suspension to take the power would spoil the lovely fluid ride and cornering.

Quicker, yes by far.

But not convinced.

Love a ST3... Richard think I just thought of your Xmas pressie for me ;)

Only one way to find out ......

I agree. The power would corrupt the thing that makes it great. Nice flow between corners is very hard to engineer into a car but very easy to lose.

So what'll be happening to this with the arrival of the barge?

Other than Bedford I've used it once in two months.

Doesn't make sense really does it?

Ermm no I suppose that's about £15K tied up in that car which is doing nothing!

What you need is a little Fabia as a runaround ;)

(or come to think of it a Yeti or 2)

  • 2 weeks later...

If the weather is bad I'll probably bring the Yeti.

If it's good I'd like to take the Skyline.

I could bring the Fiesta if I can find a volunteer to bring it.

Would be good if the fiesta could make it. Would love to go out in that and see what it's all about. All the times I've popped down and I've never seen it.

I keep it parked round the corner at home...

Should have said, could pop out for a late night run. ;)

If you can't get it to brands I will have to come out for a ride in it at some point. Really like the seats it's got.
