Richard's Ford Fiesta ST and Focus RS

Featured Replies

Yes, going to be some bargains around over the next 12 months as the people with a Ford Privilege Voucher tend to change every 9-12 months and they lose very little every time they swap to a new car.

I was on Evans Halshaw and they were charging 14-15K for one which at less than £200 a month on pcp for a motor like that is nuts

  • Picked up the RS today.     Obviously I am in the honeymoon period, but I'd like to think I've done a reasonable amount of test drives and owned enough to give me a decent feeling for a car.

  • Had the Fiesta ST back for a couple of days now, since it's turbo kit was installed.     Kit consisted of: Peron V1 Superstock hybrid turbocharger, (spool from 1200rpm, peak torque at 2500rpm a

  • As many will know, the ST-3 was sold at 18 months old with 11,000 miles on the clock.     Fast forward a few months....   I went looking for another. Even with my fleet discount a new ST-3 was mor

now thats good!

just goes to show you should ignore list price.... makes the 208 gti , and renault look stupidly expensive!

my local dealer had a vRS in new, priced at £18,000 ... funily enough they couldn't sell it.... its now pre-registered on the forecourt at £15,000 lol....

All I specced was a spare wheel and DAB radio :) wasn't really much else that I'd need!

I can see you buying one soon! lol...

Went out in one this afternoon and would in the blink of an eye but the main thing is at the moment it would see me having to give up my Fabia project! Well I couldn't do PCP until next year anyway and even then I'd be hesitant maybe a few years when they're bargains like the mk6 ST :)

Ford Privilege Discounts aren't the bargain they were back in the day. In '05 I could get 30% off a V6 Mondeo, about £9k, whereas today a Mondeo is £ 3.5k & a Fiesta ST is £1.7k.

Ford Motor Company explain the reduction in Privilege discounts by stating that we are now eligible for all the retail marketing programs, but it's not as good a deal for us.

Perhaps that's we we've bought 3 Skodas & 2 VW's instead.

As for the ST, it's a good drive 'cos European Fords have been good to drive with great handling since the 1st Mondeo arrived.

If you start with the right DNA, then developing "sports" versions must be both cheap & easy.

Was on CS this morning and saw this,

I've got to say I prefer the silver wheels :)9c91ef491b746ec0c423141f555f13e5.jpg

Been looking at upgrades for the fast fez?

If I could get what I wanted for my fabia I would sell up and use it as a deposit straight away lol.

If I was of age for PCP I'd be seriously considering one after driving one :) I've been in Mercs and BMWs and forgotten all about them but cannot forget about this!

Ah Mr Fox,I thought I had seen that profile pic floating about the stoc.

Im waiting on my ST to be delivered next month. I just happened to be having my Focus ST serviced and asked if I could take a spin in their demo ST180. He said take it for an hour after which I came on and placed an order straight away.

Such an awesome car out of the box. Completely agree with everything you say. Plus they gave me a great deal on my Focus

There is a temptation for a Clio 182 after seeing a vs video from Llandow on youtube! They seemed to be very evenly matched and running similar bhp

These are incredible value.

Would love a go in one of these.

I'm not doing any of that, it'll get out of control. :)

If I win the lottery... which would require taking part... I'd build an NGTC touring car.

Briskie sponsorship. This is what track days does to you.

If you can get the license you can buy a seat in a team for around £500,000 per year.

What a bargain..... For £125000 you can buy a DBRS9

Have you looked this up? :D

I reckon it'd be great to have a go. It can't be that hard to get the license, given the standard of driving.

Seems like a deal. Don't think it'd be the most competitive car anymore.

No but it still wouldn't hang about with 550 bhp on a carbon fibre body!
