So who didn't have issues today then?  :D

Silver fabia had suspension issue

The mongrel had battery issue

Charlie's car had CV joint and tore a boost hose

I gather Dan20vturbo has done some damage

Slotty went into limp mode due to overboost.

Anyone else? :D

My only issues were etiquette biased, the Popemobile was on good form.

Sorry I missed this but other commitments took president.

My son left home today to go to University, it would have been wrong not to be here to see him off.

Hope you all had a really good day and those on track brought them home in one piece!

Had my first track experience, wot an adrenaline rush [emoji1]

Thanks goes to Ben/BJB for giving me his ticket :-)

Glad my Octy wasn't there, I would have been on that list no doubt :D

I'll get the footage off my camera at some point. :)

I agree with Barrie, had a few interesting moments.

Plus my off track excursion in session two, which was apparently captured photographically for posterity by Pastyboy.

White Fabia VRS also went into limp mode near the end of the second session due to a little overboost.

But it's fine.

Yeti performed as usual. :)

Did anybody take pictures?

Did Sparkly have the racing barge there?

Did Richard win everything? I expect so lol.

 Did it stay fine?

Bloody hell, I should have come down....

Pictures, Yes, they'll probably be up later.

Sparkly didn't show, work issues I think.  Handed his place in a week ago IIRC.

No I didn't win anything, the Octy that's lighter and has more power is still quicker. :D

Weather was nice, foggy start but two great sessions.

Overall another good Briskoda Castle Combe day.  Bit of a trot but I always enjoy them.

Richard, you haven't made it any easier for me, it sounds like you all had a great day.

For Spring I think Jason needs to relax his Skoda only rule and allow the Golf in from day one, I would be there if he did.

I think he should say 20 places are skoda only, and then 8 non skoda places available (unless those 8 get booked by skoda's before non skoda's pay up).

I believe this time, before the deadline the rule was relaxed (to ensure a bulk of Skodas, which is probably right for a Briskoda Session) and other cars were allowed on.

That's not much of an excuse. ;)

Golf is away being mapped!   I can not sustain 4.5 mpg on the track!     I know why it was playing up at Bedford now, the lambda could not deal with the gases being sent passed it so could not send a correct signal to the throttle body etc delivering a correct air fuel mixture, so it decided to just dump fuel in which is not good.

After a map I should see much improved drivability and possibly a little more mpg   :notme:

Pah, mpg is over rated anyway

60 track miles on £80 of petrol, even I find that a lot of petrol!

Massive brake fade so I had to miss the second run. Great day though.

First session was awesome. I took Robs fiancé Jess round. I was like we will only go slowly. Yeah right as if that was happening. Second session and Lloyd was riding shotgun. All was well until there was a loud bang ! WTF ? Slowed down. All ok it was one of the large seat springs under my Recaro that had popped off.

So excellent day really enjoyed it. Thanks Jason for organising it once again.

Silver fabia had suspension issue

I found the issue once i got home and jacked it and looked properly!

Used to be one of 4 FARB Mounting bolts... It had come loose and was hitting the driveshaft (now has a nice score mark on it)

so damage from today:

N/S Track Rod Ball-Joint

O/S ARB Bolt

both Inner CV Joints had leaked grease from the mounting Flanges.

All in all a productive day :D

I had a great time today, sorry if i got in the way of anyone on track, it was my first time out at combe (excuse excuses) but I think i caught Ben going off on the Esses in the 1.8T Fabia on the GoPro too :D

There were a couple out on track, throwing it out the exhaust in clouds of black soot (nearly had to put headlights on to see where I was going)
