alton towers?

... thorp park have a HUOGE car park! Lol ...alton towers sounds fun :D we could "borrow" half of the car park for a meet to if we ask nicely :) so alton towers n briskoda?

Sounds like a good idea.

I was involved in scoobynets "The Big One" meet a few years back, managed to get a couple of hundred to attend.

The key to getting the most there is to have it in a central location so people can come fom North and South, make it appeal to male/female and families so people can make it a day out.

"The Big One" was held at Gunthorpe near Nottingham at a family friendly riverside pub. They had a large field at the side of the pub that they gave us to stage the meet.

I have a short video at home, I'll post a link later.

Cheers

I was there too. Was superbly organised and the pub were excellent and very geared up to it. Not sure the families camping at the other end of the field were as happy though ;)

One thing that was nice was organisers for various parts of the country planning "pace notes" for their area to make the drive up there nice and interesting.... :D

or we could try and borrow a track? or go camping or something come on people!!! dont get put off :)

Was talk of a track day with a "Shine & Show" comp with prizes....nothing serious ...plus some sort of BBQ.

Track though have to be booked up quick at beginning of season...espcially if it is to be exclusive.

Have a chat with Delcac on the track front.

or a chippy van thats silver and has vrs badges on it,

it would still be diesle!!

Well as promised here's a link to scoobynets first big meet in Nottingham.

It's 10meg so 56k'ers beware. :)

Big Meet Vid

If we really want a big meet I think Blackpool is a bit far north for the large amount of southerners. Alton Towers is not bad for location but may put the family members off with the price.

Best keep it simple and central. :D

don't forget about us boyz across the water... I'd be interested in one and I'm sure one or two others would be the same.

alton towers are ringing me today... basicly going to aks for a group buy on tickets...then we could camp in a field near buy and do the meet there during the day you can go to alton towers or stay at the cars but ill post up more info later on :)

free sweets to people who come!

you could even run the van on veggy oil by cycling the fryer into the fuel tank and back into the fryer again...

Ok heres what alton towers has told me...they just rung me up

Part of the car park can be closed for our Briskoda gang...they can provide bbq's and wat not (not sure wat you guys want but a BBQ sounds nice) then they can do a group ticket buy for a week end, and stay in a field near by or wat ever...there sending me a booklet on wat they do so i will let you know whats availible but so far its all ok- park capacity is 30.000 (wich they have had for the day) so yeah....

what we could do is also set up a place to sleep in a camp site nearby so it can be easily ready for when u guys n girls wanna hit the pit :)

interested? :)

Dear Leon

Thank you for your enquiry regarding corporate events at Alton Towers. Alton Towers specialises in creating corporate events with a difference. As the UK's most famous theme park, Alton Towers is the most exciting location for any event. I have attached a park map for your reference, which details the height restrictions and nature of the rides and attractions within the theme park.

Exclusive Corporate Venue

I would suggest that the Corporate Hospitality Suite, which is centrally positioned within the theme park overlooking the lake, would be the most suitable venue for your proposed company fun day at Alton Towers. I can confirm that this venue would be exclusive for your guests use, and that event options will be as follows:

Fun Day Package

Adults (over 12's):

Sounds great... but i think just a plane simple massive camp would be excellent, starts getting complicated when lots people and tickets and stuff etc etc are involved.

What we need is a field in central UK, close to good B&Bs for any non campers among us.

Best if everyone done their own food, but large BBQ could be organised

Lots of competitions and basically massive cricket/rounders/baseball games and stuff with everyone in!!
