Hi

Can a rolling road check speedo accuracy ???????

cos I did a 342 round mile trip taunton to Castle donnington and back

on Saturday ....... although the mileage was pretty accurate within a

couple of miles of the AA website .....

I am convinced my miles per hour speedo readings are showing higher

than I am actually doing :(

That was my first long journey with the Fab vRS and its was a real joy

to drive ..... just had a 5 minute break both ways

I might have my GPS by then - best way to tell is out on the road, although I guess the RR can do it too - If you ask Neal to keep his eye on the speedo when he lets go at the top, and the RR's top speed will be your comparison. :)

This is open to ANY Briskodian at all, and even other places. Just let me know if anyone wishes to bring a mate or two from another forum. :)

I hope to be bringing along someone from my SW cruising site too. More the merrier, just add your name to the list. He tells me he has got through 50 cars in a whole day before.

Hi Jason

I am hoping to get there for an hour ...... mainly to put a few faces to names :)

unfortunatley I have to be else where later in the morning.......

but would welcome the opportunity of a quick trip on the m5 with a gps to verify my speedo accuracy ...... fortunately J 24 to J23 or J24 to J25 are ideal for this purpose

as the distances are only 5 or 10 miles......

I have a very cheeky request to make...

I have received a nice shiny bit of aluminium that I'd like to fit this weekend ;)

I can come along and would like to go on RR if someone can help me fit said bit of metal ;) If we really get a move on and fit in two hours, could almost leave my car for last one to go on RR and have figures with new part fitted :)

Your input J would be appreciated, although I gather your shiny bit is different to mine ;) :naughty:

I'll bring a big hammer.

Sounds like we may need one too after reading J's other post wrt the alloy sump guard. I though I posted about it but heyho. Any chance of some axle stands?

After all, those who go on IRC will know a Skoda tech likes using a hammer every now and then :D :D :D

Sorry Jason. Before I hajack your post any further, I'll post a new thread :)

Just to confirm it will just be me attending in my Cordoba SX. So just the one car next to my name.

My dad is working so cant bring either of his vRS skoda's and my brother has decide to come down in my car.

I dont know how many cars you need, but if your struggling for numbers im sure i could get him to bring his golf gti down.

See u Saturday - Paul
