clutch noise

Featured Replies

Hey guys see if anyone can help I get this shudder/thud noise when just ticking over but goes away when clutch is pressed garage said they think its a barring but wont know till its apart ?

It drives fine do I just replace full flywheel and clutch?

Can you recommend a kit that dont cost the world for a 56plate 1.9 tdi.

all help and advice much appreciated.

I've just had to replace the clutch on my 09 vRS as the bearing had gone. My symptoms were a high pitched squeal when lightly on the clutch and was very noticeable when on hill starts etc.

I didn't replace the flywheel as they're meant to last about 100k on my model, so depends on your mileage?

It sounds like the thust bearing , gearbox out to replace the bearing. If the G/B is out I think you might as well change the clutch at the same time. I would only change the flywheel if it is scored or damaged in any way,
