Fun head gasket gone walkabout

Featured Replies

Heat gasket in my Fun has gone, so............. I have the manual .... head gasket set,.... sharpened up all my tools...., any tips ,      shortcuts....., best ways,...etc..   would be very appreciated,  should I change head bolts? .. it has had a new water pump and timing belt,  thanks in advance   john.

Yes use new head bolts, the best way is to remove the cylinder head with the intake and exhaust manifolds still attached, the trickiest part of the job is clipping the fuel hoses back into the holders on the bottom of the intake manifold if I'm honest..

Do the stem seals while the heads apart. They're a weak spot on these engines.
