I have recently tried to make this update and i have almost got it.

just the sound doesn't work but i have not coded yet

Out of interest, where did you get the Columbus unit from?  And how much did it cost you (if you don't mind me asking)?

I don't think anyone has succeeded yet, you cannot just swap the units. Someone has tried before and even with the dealer involved failed to get the unit to fully work.

 

The anti theft system used on the MK3 is far superior the the MK2, uses a system called component protection which is heavily encrypted and despite being used by Audi for 11 years in its high end cars (my A8 included) has not yet been cracked

actually i have mounted the multimedia unit , the 8" screen and a gps fakra antenna

i don't have upload any sd card so i don't have any new about GPS

 

everybody works except for sound

To be honest i didn't see any stupid comments only a joking comment about a Flux capacitor . All questions asked above are valid questions, as other members have said no one has managed to do the upgrade yet for many reasons. If you manage to do the upgrade and get it fully working you will be the first person to do so.

A few have tried, and there is the component protection to get past and also a file needs uploading to the Columbus to configure it (I believe).

 

Are you using VCDS or VCP for the coding and adaptations, or do you have access to factory tools such as VAS?

actually we are trying with VAS. but no answer from online system at the moment.

i thaught sound was something about cables and connections but inverting connections seems not to get the sound work.

GPS incredibly get the signal but after few minutes disappear, probably locked.

what is supposed to do for you all?

Yep, the maps lock after about 30 secs. You need Swap codes from the factory to unlock it I believe.

Unless someone cracks the component protection or Skoda HQ authorises a unit swap then I doubt anything can be done
