vrs diesel modding

Featured Replies

Hey lads I'm new to the diesel scene and I've got a vrs 170 brake just wondering where do you start to modify one I've been a jap petrol head for years so I'm familiar with induction kits manifolds cat backs and cams then a map to finish it off bit I can't really fond anyone that's seriously modified a Diesel just wondering can it even be done..

Gut the internals of the DPF then remap. Will release another 30/40 bhp.

My last car, MK4 Mondeo 2.2 Titanium X Sport was heavily modded. Was an amazing car by the end. I had full custom exhaust with decat and DPF delete, Airtec Intercooler, RS K&N Custom air induction, Lowered on Eibachs, 20" alloys, wrapped roof, diffuser. Then a monstrous bespoke custom remap done at Collins with a EGR delete. Originally running 175BHP... Was running around 240BHP and felt awesome.

My cr vrs is already mapped. If i decided ro loose the dpf would i need to fork out for another remap or is the original one just tweaked?

The dpf lads.. Just a case of taking it off and taking all the stuff out of it and putting it back on.. It's like a cat converter is it..
