Customer survey - new engines and 4wd being considered for vRS

Featured Replies

Surely the company car buyers are not the majority ?

I don't know..... maybe someone who knows how should run a poll on VRS TSI owners to see who's is company and who's is private.

My gut feeling is a 70% company, 30% private split but welcome the truth.

or PCP OR PX CASH......

I'd like to see a 4x4 version of the vRS, however it needs to strike the right balance between power & economy if it's going to be an attractive proposition.

Too much power & we get something that's getting towards rally car status & will have horrendous economy & CO² figures and then they'll crucify you on fuel with its duty & VAT, "road tax", insurance!

I had that call too. I agree that a 4x4 would be a great addition to the range.

I think that the biggest threat to insurance premiums are the people who mistake their family orientated cars for Porsches and those who try to turn them into performance cars though. It's not too bad now but early discussions of them being 'blistering', 'amazing' and having 'stunning' performance still make me smile.  Erm, no, it's a reasonably quick family car.

It is actually a very capable car, not a Porsche, but it is in the class of 'hot' hatchbacks, being so close to the Golf Gti that spawned the genre. The petrol version, certainly.

Nothing wrong with a little more power, if it became available.

Yes!! Say yes to all the questions, 4x4 and more power! :D

My 1.8T scout is brilliant towing our van - same question, why not an auto like our subaru?

A couple of wekends ago we were in a muddy field ib Southam. The were towing everyone in using tractors etc. They were using 4x4 pickups as well.

I declined a tow both in and out and had no problems. The daft thing is was that even 'other' 4*4s were being towed in and I wonder why they have them.

Yep, 1.8T, 4x4 plus DSG and there you have my next car!
