Robbo' date=' I have to agree with you.

Johnny, for the purpose you will be using the car, you have to consider how your clients might respond to that look. The Superb as standard looks a classy car, and has great road presence. If the car was for your own personal enjoyment, then I would say you pay's your money and take's your choice. You only have to look at PetRan's car to see what can be done if you really want to go for it.

If you are going to rely on it portraying an image for your business, then a few [u']subtle[/u] enhancements would be my course of action.

Let us know how it goes

All the Best

I agree entirely. If you want that type of car don't buy the Superb (bit late now I suppose).

It has loads of presence and looks a big cruiser - which is fine cos people get out of your way on the motorway. My wife reckons it is as good at bullying lane hogs out of the way as my E class Merc used to be. But "tart" it up and that will all change.

Sorry no offence meant but the Superb is just not like that. :):) A bit like putting an extra spoiler on a Merc - it just looks wrong in every way.

I agree. The Fabia & Octy 1 are a good for pimping up but the Superb is just too grown up and understated to look anything but daft if you do this.

If you do de-badge it I don't think there will be any holes. The badges are 'stuck' on I think. Some careful work with strong fishing wire should do the trick to remove the badges.

I'm a Superb owner, apart from xenons, LED sidelights and navigation I havent really done anything with mine.

If you go on the German or Czech E-bay you can find all sorts of interesting goodies for the superb, including de-badged grilles, chrome lower grilles etc etc, I dont think there is a UK supplier for any of these parts yet? but i'm sure they'd be happy to ship them here.

The tail lights are the same shape as the VW Passat, so you should be able to get some aftermarket smoked or lexus chrome ones to fit but I believe you will need the VW lamp holder as well as the cluster and possibly a small bit of re-wiring??

Dont know about polishing the alloys but I dont see why you couldn't, with plently of elbow grease and the correct know how I think they'd look good polished.

To de-badge the rear you need to VERY carefully (so as not to damage the paint) heat up the badges to soften the glue then gently prise them off with something that wont scratch the paint, there are no holes under the 'Superb' or engine size badges although i'm not 100% sure about the main Skoda badge. actually thinking about it i'm sure this is slightly recessed so prob not worth the bother.

Just think of all the noses that will be put out by leaving the badges in place

In my opinion, if you DO wanna pimp up your car, you'll need to fit a body kit and have nice quad pipes out the back with a moulded bumper to accomodate them. I like your idea and I can imagine it already, kind of how an E55 AMG would look. It's a family car, but it's the most powerful in the world, and it looks sporty but mature.

Black lights at the back...'chromed' 19" 5-spoke rims..chrome quad pipes....dropped low...tinted windows...body kit (subtle but effective)..it would look pretty neat actually. I wish I was a photoshop pro so I could try out an image for ya, but in my head, it looks kick-a$$.

You could go for the Milotec grille(s) at the front, they give the car a much smoother look http://www.milotec.de/english/, I could never get used to the look of the standard grille, it really didn't seem to match the lines of the car. I must get round to posting the pictures of mine now.

At the back, if you want to hide the badge, a simple way is the milotec stainless steel cover.

I ordered the parts for mine from Butts http://www.jhmbuttco.com , they took weeks to arrive, but are worth it.

I'm sure you could polish the wheels, but you'd need to do something to protect them once they were done, unless you want to polish them every week. Normal lacquer probably wouldn't last in such a hostile environment, but there must be someone on this board that knows more

jeez..how a set of alloys can change a car totally

bigj2552,

The Milotec parts can be ordered directly from them, but they don't take cards, so you have to get your bank to do some sort of international money transfer. Too much trouble for me, and my bank wanted

Great link blind1!

The two front grilles on the Superb are the Milotec ones. I've put an S-Line badge on mine (means Skoda-Line to me, but its an Audi badge!) It breaks up the black grille a bit.

The pictures also show chrome mirror covers, I'd thought of getting VW ones, but thought they would be a bit lost on my silver superb. Seems I was right, but on a dark colour they would look very cool.

And what size are those wheels? They look fabulous, but the lowered suspension really makes the car, luxury car to sports saloon in one step.

I'm just trying to picture the volvo wheels on the superb, now that would look class!

ok guys.....

another question....

those amber side lights that you see on limo's ( running lights )...can they be put on my superb ? ..do they come on with the side lights ?

where about is the best place to put em on ?.....and how do ya wire the buggers up ?..to what ?

cheers...for a great forum

Some of the newer Superbs have a chrome trim as standard on the lower grille. My other half very kindly arranged for our local dealer to get the part in (it's a complete lower grille) and fit it. The grille itself was surprisingly cheap at around

Just saw that on a new Superb yesterday. First time I'd seen the new model, and the only difference I could see was that chrome round the lower grill. Did look good, and

The milotec one comes as a mesh grille, chrome trim, and a piece of surround that you need to get sprayed body colour, so there is a lot to it, but it comes out much more expensive once its sprayed & fitted.

It comes with some black gunge to stick the grille on, if you get one and want to fit it yourself, its easy enough, but WEAR RUBBER GLOVES! I didn't think about that, and walked around with black hands for a week, nothing shifts that stuff apart from a scalpel :o

The wheels on that car are rediculous. Tell me someone just did that on photoshop for a laugh!
