Give us a clue, is this a Fabia vRS and what have you done to it.?

'not',

Derren Brown.

I'm with you on the not buying VAG again.

Well.... I love my Mazda 6 but I'd have an Octavia Scout in a heat beat!

What?  After the JD powers survey, VAG filled nearly the whole of the top 10 reliable cars. B)

They all have their issues.

Didn't Nickboy need a new gearbox for his new RS5?!

What happened, did you roll it after Paddock Hill bend.

Hate is such a strong word.

Walk then. Doesnt matter make or model car you buy they all have issues

170,000 miles in my combined VAG fleet for the cost of a new clutch pedal in the Skoda, caliper on the Passat and rad in a 20 year old Polo I wouldn't look elsewhere. Fk Ford in the ass, didn't make it to 1000 miles before it was knackered and rejected.

Yeah but let's be honest, the only reason why they score so highly is because VW & skoda have such a cult following so their owners are more likely to fill these surveys in. I know I ignore them whenever they pop up. A Ford is just as reliable as a VW but I just like the scout/all track estates.

Yep, brand loyalty sheep... my sister has had a string of VWs and a string of issues. Yet she still loves them.

My sister got together with her boyfriend she slated his TT as it was ****, she wanted a VW. So they swaped it for an A3, it was ****, she wanted a VW. So they swaped it for a Golf, it too, was ****.

To be fair I think she/he just can't pick cars :p

I should clarify my VAG car was solid. Few problems but normal stuff for 6+year old 60k+ car. I plan to have another VAG at some point :)

Is that because it's not a BMW, Porsche, Range Rover or chavvy Vauxhall, Ford?

Typical Surrey whinger.

Even though I happen to live in Surrey, I am very happy with my car.

Don't forget that most cars (not just VAG) have components from the likes of Bosch and Continental etc and so problems like the mk60 Teves abs unit failures affect multiple manufacturers.

Right, so permission to kick you if I ever see you in/on any of these then:

VW

Audi

Skoda

Seat

Lamborghini

Bently

Bugatti

Porsche

Ducati

MAN

Scania

Suzuki

Man and Scania? Didn't realise that! Learn something new everyday!

Yawn.

Suzuki??

Suzuki??

From Wikipedia

Volkswagen Group sells passenger cars under the Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche, SEAT, Škoda and Volkswagen marques; motorcycles under the Ducati brand; and commercial vehicles under the MAN, Scania, Neoplan and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles marques.[8] It is divided into two primary divisions, the Automotive Division and the Financial Services Division, and has approximately 340 subsidiary companies.[9] The company has operations in approximately 150 countries and operates 100 production facilities across 27 countries. It holds a 19.9% non-controlling shareholding in Suzuki and has two major joint-ventures in China (FAW-Volkswagen and Shanghai Volkswagen).

But you own a Fabia don't you?

The Fabia is a bit of a pile of rubbish when compared to the Octavia (I own both), and probably every other Skoda model. The Fabia/Polo/Ibiza/A1 are VAG's budget/young driver car and the build and finish reflects this.....I will never own another Fabia after I get rid of mine....however even it is miles better than the Vauxhall Corsa it replaced.

I think the Fabia tends more toward an OAP demographic personally :P

A1/Ibiza I see more younger people driving.

Polo has a bit more of a mix, lots of older ones being driven around by younger drivers.

I'm getting there!

Is the CITIGO/UP!/Mii not the Budget option now from VWG.

Suiting the young to old, and even the Badge Snobs with the costlier Brand / options.

Big price range in Polos & A1's., £11,000-£20,000,  & A1's £14,000 -£26,000

and again Age & Snobbery ranges.
