Yes I think you're right - I've just had a flick through all the cars in the "Post your mk3 Octavia photos" thread and all seem to have black door surrounds. Might be a Swedish thing as I know they vary models between countries.

 

Must be. "Standard" VRS in sweden is with chrome window surroundings.

Skoda UK have phoned back as promised with an update. Its amazing the difference in customer service compared to the dealership. They actually apologise for one and actually sound concerned.

I had to give a few more details and she wants to speak to the dealership again as she didn't realise the dealership haven't refunded me the cost of the item or at least my expenses in fuel and wanted to know what I wanted to make me happy or at least satisfied with the final outcome.....a free car was out of the question unfortunately.

She's also phoning me back Friday first thing with a further update. Wish they got my letter originally (they have requested a copy) that got lost in the post, or I had just followed a few of yours suggestion in filling in the form online as this could have all been resolved by now!

And my L&K will be pure bling when it gets built!

My rallye Green is chip free so far (shouldn't say that). Only done under 3000 miles.  My last 2 were L&K's and colour was Rosso. They chipped easily, not to mention the small rocks that bounced along the roof.

After nearly 2 months since I reported this to the dealership I am happy to say it has finally been resolved and I got the car back about 30 mins ago. Although not without alot of hurdles along the way the correct parts have been fitted, I've been given a tank of fuel to compensate for the 3 trips to the dealership over this issue and I have also been refunded the option cost.

 

Skoda UK, in particular my case manager, have been fantastic and as I said earlier, I wish I went direct to them sooner. Now I can carry on enjoying the next 2 years of motoring!
