Anyone seen >this on confused.com<.  Apparently if you're in your 20s you should avoid Skodas and Volvos.

That's me stuffed so far I've had

21ish: Seat Ibiza

22ish: Pug 306 1.9tdi

23ish : Volvo 850

25ish; Focus 1.8tddi (the deathly slow one)

27ish: Fabia vRS

28ish: Oct vRS

Agree with the Bentley and footballer comment but I'd love a Jag.

Maybe I'm just an old fart.

Ohh dear here is my car history. Dont think my choice would make me look old

17-19 Peugeot 306 DT

19-24 Peugeot 406 Coupe V6

Haha i have always liked the Octavia VRS. As the 406 was becoming economical and not suitable for days out, i knew it was time to change

Not sure what would be made of my car choices then!
19-present Ford Capri
23-24 1.0 Corsa
24-25 Fabia tdi
25-present octavia tdi

Old man in a mid life crisis perhaps?

17-19 nissan micra

19 rover 214i

19-22 nissan primera

22-25 nissan almera tino

25-27 two octavia's, one a VRS.

18:      Renault Clio RT 1.4

18-19: Fiat Punto S 1.2

19-20: Nissan Almera S 1.5

20-24: Ford Fiesta Zetec S 1.6

24:      Skoda Octavia vRS Tsi 2.0

At that nice age of 41, I seem to be able to insure literally any car I want

for under 500 quid. That said, now I'm scratching my quick itch on two wheels

my next car may be a bit more sedate.

17-present Clio 1.2 (sat in driveway awaiting sale or use)

17-present Fabia 1.2

At 19 I had a 1972 Ford Escort Mk1 1300, (but modified a bit)

At 58 I have a 1974 Ford Escort Mk1, (in the process of being modified a bit)

I suspect I haven't grown up technically. (I also have a 1972 Rover V8 for driving in straight(ish) lines)

I must be really old then...

Had a Focus Estate, a X trail and then a Skoda!

18-19 - Clio 1.2 iMusic [emoji594][emoji100]

19 - Present - Fabia vRS

On a side note this is quite ridiculous, however I do hope to be in the same boat [emoji7] minus the trust fund [emoji20]

I wonder what they'd make of my first car at 17 being a 9 year old Ford Granada estate then, Essex engined 2.8 V6.

Can't believe that thing lasted three years with me.

I had a Citroen ax gt when I was 19, then a saxo vtr at 21, and now the Fabia Vrs 24 to present :)

Haha no trust fund here just hard work :)

Now I shall be a geek, the 2.8 was a colonge engine not an essex :D

I know, the Essex was the 3.0.

Top marks. :)

19 - Vx Astra Mk2 1.3

22 - VX Astra M3 1.6 16v

23 - Ford Focus 1.9td

24 - Kawasaki ZXR400

26 - Renault Clio 1.5dCi 100hp

30 - Skoda Octavia VRS TFSI

37 - Honda Accord Touring 2.2d

Other than the VRS I've had to buy cars that were practical and cheap to run. A Jag XJ is on my car bucket list. Insurance isn't an issue for me I think like grr666 I could probably insure just about anything now for not an awful lot. 37, 9yr NCB, low risk job and the lowest risk postcode rating you can get. I had one quote back this year for £129 fully comp but I'd never heard of the company.

Having been through the 'drive it like I stole it' phase I am now officially a TOG (Tired Old Git) so am quite happy to mooch along in my Superb watching the boy racers getting flashed by the cameras

17-22 a 1991 Polo 1.3 Coupe - Classy and the same age as me (almost)

22-present a 2003 1.9tdi Fabia 100

Think I am right up there on the cool chart...

IF he goes back to Peugeot he'll be pushing it back up the wrong way of the motorway.

Well after a spate of corsa's when i was younger i had my first volvo at 19

Altho it was a classic shape S40 2.0 Turbo so not quiet the old plodder variety and even at 19 it was only 100 quid more to insure than my 1.4 corsa sport

'Steer clear of Skodas in your twenties'....hmmm......had my first Octavia at 21 followed by three more Octavias all in my twenties plus two Superbs so far in my thirties!  Feeling old now!
