I saw this and thought "I don't remember posting this" , but at that age I'm not surprised.

Some of the local garages are

116 for Esso in Bracknell (derv), 119 for Shell in Marcham but that's Diesel Extra

Typically

Best price is 103.9 for petrol in York.

lol

Just found this and it made me chuckle -

I've seen a few just recently popping over the

I just noticed last night at my local garage that petrol is now cheaper at 103.9 compared to 106.9 the week before. also noticed that the price diffrence is now ten pence between diesel and petrol!

Shell is 103.9 for Unleaded (on Beaumont Rd and the one where B&Q is I think Crompton Way is the same price)

Not sure about diesel but V Power unleaded is 110.9

One Esso garage near me has UL at 106.9 and Derv at 120.9.

103.9 and 112.9 seem more typical right now. Have yet to fill up the Skud with super since coming back from holiday but it's been a penny or 2 behind derv for quite a while.

I can only dream of prices that low now :( 115.9 for normal Shell Derv, VPower was 121.9 (per liter)

120.9 for DERV her. Ul

At home, U/L is now

Was at Shildon Co Durham on Saturday , U/L 106ppl DERV 116ppl.

The Shell I drive past (Beaumont Road) is

103.9 for Unleaded

112.9 for Diesel

I can't beleive some of the prices you guys are seeing,

Where I live in luton, and at most petrol stations in the surrounding areas normal 95RON unleaded is 109.9p a litre and 119.9p a litre for diesel:mad:,

This seems to be the going rate in the bedfordshire area

Cheapest place I know is morrisons which is only 103p a litre

Filled-up yesterday at BP garage, Ruislip, north-west London:-

BP ultimate

reading in the papers today that petrol is set to go up higher and the way things are going we be paying nearly

V power unleaded 111.9p, Normal Derv 114.9, Vpower derv 120.9.

Talk about ripping people off, that tax difference only works out at 2.5p per L.

If it's
but im sure the truckers will do something by then too

Nope, didn't you know, they are terrorists now.

I was watching Sky News yeasterday and the 'Breaking News' going along the bottom of the screen was that Brent Crude had hit a record high price , over $111 per barrel IIRC. As Yazz and her Plastic population used to say in the good old days , 'The only way is up!' :(

Whose for a group buy on a couple of fields in Essex and growing a bit sugar beet for ethanol production ?

With gas at those prices the oil companies will have to up the bio element to 5 % fairly sharpish, or the motor manufacturers bring foward the introduction of the vaunted 200 BHP, 70 M.P.G. 1.4 engines, just to keep the economy going.

I wonder what proportion of the current fleet could run at 5% cut ?
