History if N259 FLD

Featured Replies

Hi all I have been searching the internet for some time now trying to find some history of my EX FELICIA CHALLENGE CAR the registration plate is N259 FLD. I have found a small amount if information such as the driver was called Edward Griffiths and the co-driver was Ieuan Thomas, they competed in the 1998 Jim Clark memorial rally and finished 82nd overall and 8th in class, They also competed in the 1999 Kerridge club rally and finished 12th overall and 1st in class. If any body knows who these people are could you please ask them to email me as I am very interest in some decent history of the car me email is ([email protected]). I have also found that there is a name printed in the back of the ECU saying Steve Head? If anybody has some information on that as well it would be great.

Since having the car I have competed in the

2011 Merick stages (second stage the wheel came off and retired!) then carried out wheel stud conversion.

2011 RAC rally (was very snowy and crashed twice In one stage lol but finished)

2012 Malcolm wilsom rally (can't remember results.

2012 brick and steel border counties rally, which didn't end well (resulted in rolling 3 miles into the first stage!)

2012 P&R greystoke stages- and we finished 8th in class.

2012 RAC rally and finished 1st in class.

2013 P&R greystoke stages and finished 8th in class (this was the last time the car was competing)

I took it off the road in January and underwent the polo engine conversion, which has opened the car up and now has some GOOO about it lol!

The next outing will be the 2014 solway coast rally on the 9th of August (cannot wait)

Here are some picture of the car whilst competing in some of the Rallies, will post some more after we have done the solway coast in August with the new engine :).post-111663-0-23376200-1405898655_thumb.jpgpost-111663-0-23676000-1405898664_thumb.jpgpost-111663-0-80274200-1405898674_thumb.jpgpost-111663-0-67191100-1405898695_thumb.jpgpost-111663-0-45330300-1405898707_thumb.jpg

Steve head built the trophy cars if I remember rightly.

I'm looking for the GRP n build guide they did for the trophy cars.

I'll have a look through my paperwork for the history of yours as I compiled a lot of it a few years ago.
