Good review, I also prefer the foams that are thinner. Like you say they don't hang around on the drive etc. plus IMO when it's running off the car it is loosening dirt better.

Just to keep you uptodate on the Krystal Kleen and LiquidElements product lines;

Marc has just released some new options on MF's, drying towels and wash mitt.

I have some samples coming on all of these from a Group Buy on another forum...

Stock levels should be ok in a week or so - but trial quantities only for now....

ULTRA DRYER – This is a MAHOOOSIVE 100 x 60cm drying towel of 400gsm weight.

NEW ORANGE BABY - Now this is unusual. 60x40cm in size and 800gsm in weight.
However this when dry and removed from the packet feels like nothing you’ve ever tried before..you almost think…WTF???
Then you glide it over a wet car and it transforms into one of the most effective thickest drying towels i have personally ever come across…very impressed.

WAXER – As the name suggests. A 40x40cm microfiber with 600gsm weight and just the right texture to treat paint gently but have enough grip to remove waxes and such.

NEW PURPLE MONSTER – The Ultimate in luxury.
This is a 40x40cm final buffing towel for the pinnacle in aftercare with a HUGEEEE 1800gsm weighted towel. Nothing comes close!!!

ULTRA FINISH – One of my favourites … a 40 x 40 1200gsm quality buffing towel and great for everyday luxury work.

BLUE BREEZE - This is the 40x40cm 400gsm multi purpose microfibre we use in our multipacks of 10.
I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the extent of its plushness and how it can be used to effectively
absorb polishing oils from paintwork quickly and also be used on windows to help with that streak free finish.

BLUE SHEEP – Pure wool with mesh backing for easy hand placement. Ultra gentle for careful treatment during washing of your pride and joy.
(No Blue Sheep were harmed in the making of these but they may be a bit chilly)

Couldn't resist.... ordered the above pre-launch sample pack to test out!

Very interested in the Blue Sheep wash mitt in fact; as i fancy a change.

A little off topic but with wash mitts/pads have you seen the microfiber madness stuff? Got the sponge and pad a few weeks ago and they're brilliant!

I'm liking the look of the grey ones with the red band. They remind me of the buffing cloths I had years ago from Scholl. I'm interested in your thoughts on these.

Yep - i have Blizzard in Tutti Fruitti as well - quite please with it; but never tried Magifoam to compare.

Glad you are happy with it.

TBH...long clinging Snow Foams are not really what I need

I  need one that lifts the dirt paticles from the paint surface and runs off the car...without clinging too long

So all in all...there are many products with different characteritics

Its best to test a few products and decide which suits your own requirements

Well after testing with ValetPro, KKD Blizzard and Magifoam samples;

pretty happy i could use any of these on my cars.

Personal preference on foam always debatable but cost/deals/group buy, might sway me on next purchase.

I like the look of that Trim-X. Could be about right for me and the plastic trim on a Yeti.

And there goes another £50 on cleaning stuff.

I use AD rapid revenge qd on plastics on yeti, not only does it give them a deep black look it protects and dirts rolls off for weeks.

Give it a try I'm a huge fan.

I could send you a sample if you like?

Thanks for the offer Carl; but I've already ordered some of the Trim-X.

Just out of interest, how 'glossy' is the Rapid Revenge? I'm trying to steer clear of glossy plastic & tyres and go for a satin which I hope will look good against the shiny paintwork.

It has a shine on the plastic trims but that's about it really, I'm with you in parts like that I prefer the Matt or satin look.

What colour yeti did you go for in the end? I know you mentioned candy white?

I still have a candy white touch up stick if you want it.

I missed out of Aerofurb's candy white Yeti (sold the day before I got back to them).

And passed on a Candy White L&K nearby (a '13 plate; too much for me).

Hopefully will be able to pick up a Steel Grey Yeti next week.

It's down to how quickly the DVLA can assign a new number plate to it.

Steel grey is nice anyway. I had a candy white I really liked it but I don't miss that colour tbh.

Looking forward to seeing some freshly detailed pics of the yeti.

It's an awesome machine!

It's not my first choice (muscovado or white would be), and not one I had considered until it came up (could have had a red one), and certainly not my least favourite (that would be black or green or blue).

It might be a while before I get the full detail going as I'm still stocking up on 'stuff' and will have to find a dry two day period when I'm off work to go at it in full.

Another Briskodian is lending me his DA polisher, so that should help get the paintwork up to scratch (excuse the pun) before waxing.

I certainly can't fault Trim-X for the money; easy to apply and works well on the

various trim and also on tyres. Demo'd it on a couple of cars i detailed recently.

Re-ordered more this week too.... and a sample of the KKD shampoo.

Nice little sample box from KKD arrived for some weekend detailing duties on SWMBO's car.

Looking forward to trying some Purity-X in the foam lance..... 5ml to 500ml water mixture.

Look forward to the results & your thoughts.

Well - after a few diversions this morning - i gota round to testing out the above KKD products.

First off - got the ValetPro Citrus pre-wash mixed up in the new 8L pressure sprayer.

A5FD6CE9-397C-49CF-95E6-D2429A112108_zps

Then the Slik seal shampoo was next up - seems ok, smells nice and is pretty slick but not very foamy or many suds;

i think 'll stick with Optimum Shampoo for now.... although i will try a few different mixes on the shampoo with different cars.

The R36 was then rinsed off with the pressure washer, and snow foam lance was rinsed through as well.

A fresh foam bottle was plugged in with the Purity-X sealant mix.... 5ml to 500ml water - this stuff makes quite an active mix for such a thin dilution.

Pics of the car sprayed in this mix....

Left to dwell for 10 mins - then rinsed with pressure washer and the car dried with normal towel and dryer method.

Drying duties were an absolute breeze following the Purity-X application - very happy with this stage.

No final pics - but you are all used to seeing the R36 clean. I now need some rain to check the water behaviour on Purity-X.

But from just the basic application method on this 5ml dilution - looks ideal for winter months and a good wash and seal detail.

Well ... The Yorkshire weather forecast didn't disappoint! Pouring down here from 8pm...

Not sure how durable Purity-X is going to be... But the beading on Day1 is absolutely immense - it has to be said.

Sorry... Too dark for pics... I'll try in the morning perhaps.
