Good review, I also prefer the foams that are thinner. Like you say they don't hang around on the drive etc. plus IMO when it's running off the car it is loosening dirt better.

What do you use the pressure sprayer for Ste? Just applying suds? Does it have enough pressure to remove any alloy dirt, brake dust ....?

Have just Googled Fifthgear pressure spray, and are about £15 to buy off Amazon. It has about 40Psi of pressure but the 2 reviews are not very flattering. I would imagine for the job that Samuir is using it for, it is ideal as he is only applying a dressing to the car.

Tony

Thanks tony.

I will pm you later about the samples.

Would have done it sooner just not been very well.

Carl.

Guys

Its for applying VP Citrus Prewash

I use this if the car is very dirty or when using Snow Foam isnt necessary

Its good for removing salt from the car in winter in particular

I used to have a large pressure vessel, but it leaked so I ditched it for a smaller Hozelock one

Indeed Tony - claimed 40psi; but not that you get that sense of pressure - at all!!!

Managed to get this for £12.50 delivered and next day delivery too which was a surprise.

Initially used to help out the local Beavers group do a car wash day and spray cars with pre-wash;

whilst they earned their sponsor money and got the cars washed and rinsed. Did the job well.

8L capacity means a mix lasts a good while - rather than use my had-held 1.5L pressure sprayer.

The 2.5m hose and angled plastic sprayer attachment allow you to get in the wheel arches and such like.

So far so good!

Hey Carl - as per the picture..... ValetPro Citrus Pre-wash solution.

5L bottle shown - it's not about the absolute pressure, more the spray application on lower body panels

to loosen dirt and debris and more into winter months - the road salt and grime.

I have been following the trials, and involved in some on new KKD products.

Latest test results posted up on Marc's new wheel coating.... looks very robust indeed.

Test scenario:-

"So here we have a piece of cut steel.

Sanded with 80 grit on a DA and placed outside a couple of weeks ago.

Half was coated in R-EVOLVE Ceramic wheel coating and half wasn't.

Remember this isn't smooth paint but unprepped and sanded with 80 grit so rough as a badgers bottom."

I have the tutti frutti - which smells great and is an awesome snow foam. good choice

The Choccy Wash smells too good to be true!  :giggle:

LSP safe, pH neutral, good dilution ratio and anti-marring properties.

Cheers Ste will get some when I need more shampoo.

Marc is an awesome guy. I got this on the free delivery offer. Code needed but it was turned off over mad Friday weekend. Quick email told of the above and then emailed when the code was working again.

hey chris - its a free sample i received; i was simply reading off the label.

I have not used it nor designed it - so cant explain the science for you.

Perhaps drop Marc an email if the anti-marring property is something you need more detail on

Quick response from Marc on PM.....

"A gentle blend of surfactants and lubricants that encapsulate the dirt suspend them away from the vehicle surface helping prevent and reduce marring."

I hope this helps - but he did say - any more detail required - be sure and get in touch.

I mentioned your name and that you are the Briskoda forum resident detailer etc etc - so he's happy to discuss.

Thankyou

Ive never heard of a shampoo marring the paintwork in many hundreds of car washes with many different products used

Thats why I questioned it

Not a problem - You are very welcome

Running out of shampoo, so i'll be interested in your thought on this. The KK products i've used so far are very good.

Worth a look on KKD/LE website over Xmas then; i think he has a few kits/sets/offers running.

Or even Simon at iShine stocks some KKD gear and forum discount applies
