No I don't think so. Grip maybe difficult without revoknuckle but handling with the right little mods it should be fine.

Miltek Non Res catback fitted, eventually....... Nice and subtle when pottering around town but roars when you open it up. I'll add a video soon.

Decat pipe wouldn't fit for some reason. Very annoying.

Love the sound (even with a cat in place), nice a quiet when pottering around and roars when you open it up. No drone at all, perfect for what I want.

 

Gave the car a deep wash/seal/wax on Sunday in between the showers.

 

 

 

 

Next up revo stage2

What sort of output will the stage 2 get you?

280-290bhp with the correct bolt on mods. FMIC, decat, induction and catback; which I have bar the decat as it just would not fit.....

 

I could go stage three with injectors straight to 320bhp but then I'd need a clutch.

Stage 2 sounds good, does it run an LSD?

That sounds wicked I love the torque from these engines

My workmate had a mildly tuned one, pulled really well from lowdown and just kept going

The ST doesn't run an LSD however aftermarket ones are readily available. The torque they can pull is immense - easily over 400ft/lbs

Nope no LSD. Aftermarket LSD's cost around £700- £800 clutch is another £700 (fitted)

Revo stage2 installed last night. Difficult to prove bhp without a RR, but it certainly feels stronger all the way through the rev range. The new map also seems to have taken in to consideration the downpipe, exhaust, intake and decat making the power delivery so much smoother. Even the mapper, commented on how smooth and strong the delivery was.

 

What's next?

 

Mini Service; Oil/filter/RS plugs.

Handling mods, RARB, tyres and bushes.

Cosmetic mods, Wheels and a bit of paint or wrap here and there.

Oh forgot to mention new map should be 300bhp plus, need a rolling road soon.

The guy who lives opposite has one. I can always tell when he starts it up, sounds beautiful!

 

Lovely car in this thread too, though I have to say I'm a little torn on the paint job!  :p

So some of you may or may not know that early hours christmas day (1:20am), a drunk driver smashed in to my car outside my house and drove off! I did my best Liam Nesson impression from Taken and I found the little scumbag, fast asleep at his parents house. Police involved etc etc. Not the best start to Christmas. After two months of hire cars and phone calls to the garage and his insurance I had the car back last week. Enough said about that.

 

I took advantage of my car being at the bodyshop and had the front end touched up, including the black details.

 

 

Put all my bits back on that I took off fearing the car may have been written off.

 

 

All parts refitted and it ran ok but the ESP light on the dash was on and wouldnt go out, not matter the ammount of code reading! Little phone call to my best budd and.......I'd plumbed the MAF sensor in the wrong way around. All sorted. 

 

Whilst the car was being repaired I did some parts gathering.

 

AS Plenum

AS Recirc Valve

Braided brakelines

Vibra Torque Mount

and a full service kit inc RS Plugs

 

Need to buy:

RS injectors

Whiteline RARB

 

Really pleased to have the car back and with the quality of the repair. To have a car with power is so good after the recent hire cars.

As he'd hit my car and drove home the police would'nt breathalise him as "He could have had a drink when he got home". He did get a caution and a fine for leaving the scene. When I was *knocking* on his door at 6am christmas morning his parents called the police on me! ha.
