hi there guys just noticed my rear suspension area on my fun is rotten

whats the best thing to do ?

cut the crap out , weld new piece in but then can i filler to make it smooth such as a flexible filler or fiberglass

I cleaned and banged out the rust   then rust treated and welded  a   rough cut plate   and shaped it as I go   full seem weld  with spot welds    grind and  cleaned up   used  metal filler   to smooth the edges and paint
