Love how this thread is continuing, even when Tom doesn't have the car any more! :D

Haha yeah it is quite amusing :-) There is a part of me that's tempted to lock it but I don't mind seeing it rumble on for abit longer lol

Tom,

I thought the above guy's M135i reviews were very informative and your thread was a very good vehicle for getting a good overview from an individual who has some good experience of both models.

Hope you don't mind.

Shame your JCW is not in "General Chat", unfortunately it appears quite isolated, with very little input from potential owners or actual owners feedback.

Perhaps its all on a BMW Mini Owners Club site.

Yeah those vids are good. He's a decent chap and on the BabyBMW forum a fair bit. :-)

I deliberately tucked my JCW thread out of the way this time lol.

As you say, people can use google/YouTube/the mini forums if they want any proper info ;-)

I have just had an offer for a very nice car from my local dealer. £5k down and £550 a month for 48 months for a...

Amanda,

Decisions,decisions, camera or Car!

Is that PCP or Business Lease? What annual mileage , what would be the settled figure if purchased?

Good PX on offer?

I think Camera and lens would be the better bet, as I am still enjoying the M135 and can get thrills from it at 'relatively' low speeds. Although I am going to chat to my Dealer about it...'just in case' :D

Cracking deal though if anyone else fancies it. They have a similar deal on a Convertible M4 with DCT and £50 a month more.

Sorry I thought you were doing a self parody thing.

My overall finances on this deal and my M135 are personal I'm afraid

Great deal then! Wasn't asking for that level of touchy detail Amanda.

Driving in sleet is no biggy on the motorway. After all I can stop as well as any 4x4 on similar tyres and traction isn't too overwhelming to keep moving. Actually just popping the car into eco-pro reduces the throttle travel law to such a large degree it makes the car fine to drive (peak torque of 323lb/ft  at only 1,300rpm can be a little interesting in sleet with a rwd car). not weakening? The M4 deal was very strong and if I had been offered it at the time of buying the M135 I'd have been very likely to take them up on it. having said that, my car does sound better :)
