I remember some folk installing the SuperSkoda hood damper kits and was wondering how are they holding up? Is opening and closing the hood fine? Have they developed any squeaks or issues? Any other info would be great!

Yes, I installed them four months ago (132TSI Estate), and they're going fine. Very easy to install and work well. No squeaks, no loss of lift and open and shut very smoothly.

They shouldn't do as that is completely remote from the struts. Active Bonnet now seems to have gone thankfully and IIRC is no longer available or sold on Octy MK3's here in the UK.

Good to get feedback on these, considering them on my next one.

Note: you get no instructions with the box. There is a reasonable video on SuperSkoda website showing you how to do (filmed in a very muddy paddock somewhere in Czech Republic by the looks of it...); but that said it's pretty easy to work out how they go on. It took me about 5 minutes total and I'm in no way a mechanic.
