  • So... things have been quiet on this lately. The car has just been sat there doing nowt! One of the reasons is money, as had to spend a bit of money getting a car sorted quickly. Plus I've slowly been

John you wouldn't believe how many 'eye' jokes I've come out with already! My family must think I'm a right sicko ha ha!!

God only knows how I'm remaining this calm to be honest, considering it's my sight at risk...

Obviously you can't see the dangers. :)

Id be the same. If you don't then you'd only cry. No pun intended on that one.

Sorry to hear that.

Wish you all the best for the surgery & recovery.

I like to think 'I' have an 'eye' for humour... ;)

Go ahead ha ha!

Just stay motivated and keep at least one eye on the prize.....I'll get my coat

Gutted as this car was moving along great and looked like it was going to be a weapon! But as said before a car is only a bit of metal health comes first.

All the best for the surgery and il be watching this for upates.

Stuff often happens to get in the way Alex, get your peepers sorted and the car will soon be put back together.

LOL at Faboka and his Scouse jokes!!!! :D

Matt you'll feel guilty if I end up losing my sight in my eye!! ;)

How the f**k can I even joke about this...!

I see everyone is eyeing up parts from your car..

All joking aside Alex, any idea how you come to detach your Retina? Banged your head, previous accident??

I remember years ago James Thompson the then Vauxhall BTCC driver having the same after a massive shunt.

I fear it's due to roidy dans strength, when they've been down Alexs unit late at night I fear Dan has been a bit rough with poor Alex :D

Alex said it's related to his short sightedness apparently.

It's difficult not to take advantage of someone so small you'd only do the same! ;)

Alex should post that selfie he's just sent me and Kev!

But he looks like a great pirate now anyway!

Feeling guilty yet Matt!?!

Anaesthetic still hasn't worn off, so droopy eye like Sloth at the minute!... Bloody best go back to normal :-/

As Kev said, turns out I had degeneration in my eye tissue. I was always more at risk due to being massively myopic.

The other eye has signs of degeneration too, so will need surgery to repair it before if goes on that side too.

Currently have gas in my eye to support the repair. I now have to lie on my side 24/7 for an entire week!

Can't say it was the best experience I've ever had. Plus I nearly fainted when I saw my eye for the first time this morning...
