bit slow in responding apologies.

got it from the garden fencing bit.

square section, about 3mm sq.

wire diameter about 0.5 mm

sheet is 2ft * about 3.5 ft

2 ft is good as that's about the width of the rad.

There is supposed to be a grill supplied by Skoda to do this job, ask the body shop when you take it in.

Couldn't find one listed in ETKA. Is it an offficial accessory for an overseas market?

Thanks lads. Picking up a brand spanking Fabia 1.2 comfort SE next thursday (yes I know I don't belong among you VRS thugs) and this thread is just the info I was looking for. I've noticed a lot of 2nd hand Fabias on the forecourt have lots of lower condensor/radiator damage :( - something I'm keen to avoid. The newer Fabias have a much more open design on the bumper grille (no more vertical slats ) allowing in more road debris. :thumbdwn:

Howard, still pleased with that mod and how is the mesh looking after 9 month's of wear and tear?

Yes, Denis, no repeat occurrence :woohoo:

It's a bit mucky and flyridden - but at least all that carp is on the mesh and not on my condensor (er?). One of these days i'll clean it with a fine brush but I haven't felt the need yet ;)

Hmm

(This thread is like a little oasis of calm compared to 'General' and 'The Lounge' at the moment.)
and a couple of posts later...:
they can have it in and out in a day - which is a big plus point for me.[/quote']  :D

Didn't take long, did it?:rofl:
