Renault twingo

Featured Replies

After seeing what will be the new twingo at goodwood, I had a thought that a renaultsport version would also be released.

Could be a cracking little car. Rear engine rear wheel drive and if the old one was anything to go by at least 130bhp!

Should be fun

The Clio Sport guys (the clio forum I'm on) really rate the current Twingo and seem to say it's a good bit of fun for a little car :)

I'd imagine it would be great. Not many small hatches about with rear wheel drive.

Short wheelbase could result in some spectacular slides :D

Better than the new clio sport?

I'm not an expert, but wasnt the 172 the best one? Then they got abit fat and lazy compared?

They must be good mind. My mates thinkin about trackin one n itd be the only hatch he'd consider

I'm not sure mate the 172 and 182 appear to be he most common and more favourable ones on there!

My mates son has one of these top of the range Twingo sport jobbies.

Seems to like it, but advises you go to the dentist first to make sure all your teeth are properly secured to your gums first before ownership.

I'm afraid the original Williams was the best of the Clio's  ;)

Bit tough to come by though? ;)

I've got an original manufacturer's brochure for it. :sun:

This is true! Sad times :(   Rust on the arches was the killer....  I know this from experience!

I nearly bought a Willams the other week. Turned it down though as I'd only be buying for the sake of it.

Following the hot new Twingo with interest though!

I'd still have a mint one to be honest. An immaculate one goes for a lot of cash these days. Plus are exceedingly difficult to find as said above!

Well if youve got the money, the time, and the space for one.

Its well worth keeping an eye out for one :).

Iv always had a soft spot for a decent mk1 golf gti. Shame theyre all being messed with by the DUB crew and iv not got the space for one anyway.

I never got into the Dub scene when I was younger. I was more of a French car man! Loved the Renaults and Pugs!

Part of me actually still craves a 106GTi in white with black cyclones and a forged & TB'd engine with wild cams :)

Iv never had modded car myself, but i do appreciate some of the things they do.

However, would i want a GTI thats been abused and messed with by a young lad that doesnt really know what hes doing?

Hmm nah. Im alreet tah.

Pretty girls drive them too, not just the pig ugly girls.

I love ours! Did a 1400 mile road trip round Scotland in it and was perfectly

comfortable and it never missed a beat. The Audi we were going to use threw its

toys out of the pram and died on us so we took the Fiat instead.

Imitation is the best form of flattery, now theres the Vauxhall Adam and the Twingo.

I can spot the difference, I would have the Fiat and I wouldn't have the Twingo.

Fiat 500's do not come as a 5 Door and the engine is in the front not the rear,

so even if there is a similarity in looks, there is quite a difference between them.

Pretty girls do drive fiat 500's. Its a fact of motoring.

I realised this a few years ago and have made a special effort to take a look at a 500 driver ever since.

It doesnt always pay off, sometimes i end up looking at an old lady or some bloke, but mostly its worth while and theres a nice lady driving.

Just saying.

Maybe, as the twingo looks so similar, that too could be on the 'to look at' list
