105 db limit really is loud so I think it'll be fine.

I'll dig out my db meter and we can test it before anyway.

The R32 was way louder than yours before I put the quieter exhaust on and that only scored 103. :)

I need all the practice I can get...

Track will be open for three hours before lunch and three hours after.

So plenty of time to get a ride with others and get someone to come out with you, if you want. :)

That's great :)

I just need to learn a bit more about how much the car has to give as I know I was too slow in certain area's and corners at How Fast, but I've started to build up my confidence in the car a bit more now so a few more sessions I hope to be a lot more confident. Mind you How Fast was the first time I'd been on track ever.

again will see on monies, what will the numbers be capped at Richard?

I think I'm out after just driving the car and realising it will barely get to work let alone Brands,

I'll have a word with MSV, the Autumn/Winter days are typically fairly quiet so there should be space for everyone.

Logically I'll have to block book 10 slots to get a discount but more people can come and benefit from the lower price.

Correct price for this day is £159 with no garage reserved or instruction.

I will be sorting out the instructor.

Fact finding post...

I believe there are people out there that would like to have a go on track but it's not cheap and it's also expensive to get instruction to build a bit of confidence up.

What I m proposing is a track day near the end of the season, when it's cheaper.

I'll also organise garages and an instructor for use of our group during to day.

Monday the 3rd November is possible.

Cost would be £140 for the whole day including some time with the instructor and garage use.

Doesn't matter if it's a bit wet.  You actually learn more about car control in the wet than in the dry and it's less wear on the car.

Would need 8 to make it viable.

Experienced people welcome too. :)

I'll probably bring the 500bhp Skyline to do some passenger rides too.

Who is up for it?

A?.

Is there any point in doing this in a "normal" car?

You already know what we drive, all bog standard apart from Stage 1 remaps, so none of them will be quick, & then there is

the driver to be considered...............

It's a serious question, I've plodded around Donnington a few times & taken a Vauxhall Cavalier Auto around the 'Ring back in 1990,

so I know what it's like to be too slow on a race track!

It's more for the experience and to fully learn the track and skills! As said in the How Fast thread a slow car really allows you to be as smooth as possible and improve skills in that area so yes there is a point hence why I was thinking of taking an AA truck down there

DC, well worth it for the fun and experience.

Unless driving as quickly as you can with no oncoming traffic isn't your thing. :)

It's more about perfecting technique and learning the car's limits.

I'm same boat as Sharkrider for this Richard.

Can't confirm today but if at all possible, I will be up for this.

Fantastic :) that will be great

Rich, sorry, just to clarify is this going to be a Briskoda exclusive day or is it essentially us organising group attendence at a standard MSV day with added garages and instruction?

Well, I don't drive that fast anymore on quiet autobahns, I seem to chicken-out at app.120mph, which seems to be the cruising speed for Mondeo man in Germany!

If I brought the Superb it would probably roll onto the bump-stops & understeer through every corner, & it would need to be a dry day for the EOS, the C of G & weight distribution are better with the roof down.............

(SWMBO won't let me borrow her vRS...........)

Learning what one's car can / can't do is a really good idea, (the Rettendon Turnpike roundabouts have helped, it feels like a race-track in rush hour traffic!) & I'm sure that any

techniques that I might possess could use refining / discarding / replacing............

Much food for thought.

Be good if we could get a couple of Superb's out on track?

The 2.0 tsi should be nippy

This will be a fantastic day. I am rather looking forward to it.
