Pay a tenner and bring a lid and I'm sure one of us will take you on track!

Hmm. Are motorbike helmets suitable? I've got access to a couple (full face). And any volunteers?

Do you pay on the day?

Bike helmet is OK,   Pay a tenner on the day at the sign on desk and sign a disclaimer form, that is all.   You are then free to passenger in any car for the  whole day.

Have a bathtub ride with me if you like.

So I'd have to be there for the sign on would I then?

no you can pay to be a passenger at any time provided you have your own helmet, later in the day they may have all been taken, so if you have your own then it doesnt matter

When you like mate.   There has been some interesting vehicles on trackdays, not just Brands.    Seen a Smart car,  Austin A35 van, Range Rover and even the elusive Yeti :peek:

Half an hour for me to do one lap  I'll stick to spectating and maybe blogging a passenger ride

Don't forget the Borismaster that James May took round Combe.

Vans are fine. :D

Did you not see my time at 'How Fast'... I bet you'd beat me pushing your van round the track :(

Ermm it seems to top out at 50mph on the flat which is bad enough and just the noise of the 2.5 DI would ruin my ears

I'd like to come to this with my Clio. Richard could you PM me payment details? I'll check I can take the day off with work then get the full amount sent over. :)

Happy to take passengers round for a few laps too.

One piece of advice! Don't let me passenger as Clios don't seem to get on with me :(

Jake our instructor has the same car, the Cup version.

It's a 172 :)

One of the best handling cars for that money and in that class IMO

It's a 172 :)

Oh Yes!   I had a 172 Cup as a track car  for a couple of years, loved it.    Wish I had kept it for winter trackdays.

Keep looking at a 182 Trophy then think I can't justify the cost

The Trophy is the best of the RS Clios, only problem is the dampers need a renewing or rebuild every 40k. miles.  Money wise a 182 or 172 would make sense.

You pay a premium for a Trophy a but like the vRS SE

The bonus with the Clio and it being N/A means you get some incredible induction noise with not much work.

Clio 1x2s always sound excellent on trackdays.
