Briskoda at Brands Hatch - season closer - 3rd November

Featured Replies

Can't see why not, if you must.

As there are only 5 people down for a camera I can keep an eye on things.

Just to make it easy for you really... 5 cams with different people wanting footage etc. etc. ;)

  • 17 spaces booked and paid for.   We have a block of six garages reserved for us, so an average of 3 per garage which is fine. You can get at least two in each garage, plus parking at the front and

  • Fine with me Danny. Thanks to everyone that booked and came. Yes it was a bit wet, but it was a great day and I hope you all learned something or improved your driving. Mixing the track day with h

I'll be there for 9ish in the van.

looking at some past threads of track days, im thinking i best bring my 16" vrs wheels to mash up so i dont wreck my brand new tyres....   thoughts people?

17s sound better.. more grip in the wet.....

It depends tbh.

What tyres are on each set and how old are they?

i wont lie...  the tyres on the 16s are 4mm ish..  unsure of the make as they come with car..   the 17s have mid/budgets on them as i was not sure on the whole stance/fitment didnt want to rub..   turns out i got the fitment spot on.   was not planning on tracking the car so....     gonna be interesting..  lol

Either will be fine...

But I wouldn't use anything meant for the road on the track when it's new. Ask BJB540 on Monday what happened to his URS3s at How Fast?. 2 hours on track and they were utterly destroyed.

If they're a bit older, should be fine. I did several trackdays on a very old, very rubbish set of part worns.

ahh yeh they well worn in..    after the spanking drive i had tonight playing with me new LSD they deffo worn in! lol

So I popped up to Gee's to collect some driveshafts.....

If my car drives on track better than it just has ill have jaw ache from smiling too much!

Just wow and you guys with a new diff say it transforms the car? Must be mental you lucky sods!

Which entrance do we use tomorrow? Main or Paddock?

Am I better off going M1, M25 or M40 M25?

I don't think the Paddock entrance is usually open for track days, so I always use the main entrance.

Give the bloke in the box a cheery wave as you go through, drive all the way along Colin Chapman way, through the gates at the end, bear right and then a hard 180 degree right into the tunnel that leads under the track and through to the back of the pit garages.

Use postcode DA3 8PE (Thistle Hotel) for the main entrance as I've found that the DA3 8NG postcode tends to take you down Scratchers Lane to the back of the circuit.

I'm getting excited now and I'll only be spectating!

16 or 17 fine Gee.

It really makes little difference in the grand scheme of things.

Looks like light rain clearing later, would suggest wearing the edges of tyres you don't need everyday might be a good idea.

If you have the choice.

What time are people aiming to get there for?

First thing :)

Jon, I'll grab the footage off the card on your laptop and you can send it to me, saves Richard messing about with extra footage if that's okay?

So, no tickets / passes required to get into the circuit if you are only spectating?

(I don't own a suitable track-day car!)

Not too sure, depends on what other tasks SWMBO has for me in the AM.

I'd guess about 11-12AM, depending on the bridge traffic, but it's not a long drive for me, maybe 14 /15 miles away.
