Nooooo.... Lacquer Peeling !

Featured Replies

Though my car was immune as there was absolutely no sign of the laquer peeling.

Then came home from holiday and noticed a bubble on the spoiler.

A week later its spreead like wildfire on the spoiler !!! :envy:

Will have to get it sorted before I sell !!

Wrap it bud, did mine in 30 mins with the spoiler on the car and looks champion.  Use proper 3M dinoc though - it's well worth the extra pounds over all the copy stuff on ebay.

It cost me a hundred pounds, painted on the car by a local body shop that are VW Skoda Lexus approved HTH.

Dazza why are you selling up? Love that car.

Didn't know you were selling, maybe Richard would like to buy it back? :)

He's not really selling.

If he was he'd have PM'd me already. :D

I thought i had escaped it intil two weeks ago when i noticed a patch. Within a few days it had spread and now it's all over the spoiler with water under the laquer due to the rain. I'm going to a bodyshop tomorrow for them to have a look.

Exactly how it happened to mine - absolutely no sign of it then all of a sudden a patch appeared (2 weeks ago also !!) and now its spread like crazy.

Trying to find a reputable local body shop that can do it for me.

Mines got bad. I'm in talks with Skoda UK about it, so far so good :)

Been there as have many others - there are lots of posts about attempts to claim etc -

Skoda offered to repaint mine for £400 - then offered a 25% discount due to my loyalty to the brand - FSH, previous cars etc - thus making my contribution £300 - a crazy price !

I got it done locally for around £80 and a great job it was to !!

Looking the same way for me too, the advisor I called back upon missing a call basically told me if it was his choice I wouldn't get anything towards it at all.
