Tyre pressure monitoring

Recommended Posts

Hello ,

I tried today to activate TMPS and HHC on my Octi3-2013(NE chassis) and it seems that the Byte 29(the last one) is left blank - the last 3 Bytes are: 0040. For detailed info please see the Long coding picture:

HHC activation ( Hill Hold Control )

1. 03- ABS Brakes
2. Coding-07
Long Coding
Modify Byte 25  accordinlgy:  20->23

Also on my care Byte 25 is set to: 28.

Is it possible to activate TPMS and HHC via VCDS12.12 on my car?

Thanks.
Regards from Romania.

Hi,

I can now confirm that the activation of TMPS via VCDS was successful for me.

I just followed the description of doggy007 (08 Sept 2014 - 12:50).

My experience:

After coding with VCDS (and pressing the SET "button" in the menu) I drove about 180 km to let the system collect data.

Next day I released 0.2 bar from a tyre and drove about 250 km. Nothing happened.

Today I released additional 0.6 bar from that tyre and went out for testing.

I got a warning message in 2 minutes. :)

I have just realised that I also have a 29 byte long coding but it works.

I have to check if I have a 29 or 30 bytes long coding I'm not sure at the moment.

---

About HHC: I don't know maybe you will need some more digging on the net.

I have DSG and it is activated from the factory.

I can take a look at my coding in the evening but I'm not sure if it helps.

Hi Aki78,

In the TPM procedure is mention that both Tire Pressure Monitoring display and Tire Pressure Monitoring display;tire selection should have the same value (default:2). In my case Choose Tire pressure monitoring display=2 and Tire pressure monitoring display;tire selection=1.

What values are stored in your module?

from "doggy007" - TPM:
1. 03 ABS Brakes
2. STG Adaptation -> function 10
3. Choose Tire pressure monitoring display
4. verified Store value is 2
5. the same value stored is on Tire pressure monitoring display;tire selection

Thanks.

Update: I have checked and I have a 30 bytes long coding.

Sorry for that next time I will double-check everything before making a post.

(I can't edit my original post anymore.)

The part number of my controller is 5Q0 907 379 R and not 5Q0 907 379 A (djmartzian).

According to the description I had to verify 4 values.

All of them was already set to the requirement.

Hi aki78,

So, if my controller is "5Q0 907 379 A" it seems I can NOT activate the TPM? Wich are the major diffences between controller R(30 bytes long coding) and A(29 bytes long coding)?

Also, wich are the 4 values that you verified? In doggy007's theread only 2 are specified (Tire pressure monitoring display/Tire pressure monitoring display;tire selection)!

Thanks.

If you read it carefully, you have to verify 4 values:

.....

4. verified Store value is 2

5. the same value stored is on Tire pressure monitoring display;tire selection (2)

.....

verified if (14)-Vehicle function list BAB-tire_pressure_system_0x07_msg_bus have value: Suspension data bus

.....

verified if this option is actiated: (58)- Vehicle menu operation-menu_display_rdk_over_threshold_high

.....

My controller already had theese values I didn't have to change them.

Sorry I don't know what's the difference between controllers A and R.

Yes, I have:

- TPM:
1. 03 ABS Brakes
2. STG Adaptation -> function 10
3. Choose Tire pressure monitoring display
4. verified Store value is 2
5. the same value stored is on Tire pressure monitoring display;tire selection

in Long Coding the latest 3 Bytes on my side was 004002 and I changed with 70C002

to see the menu in bolero :
1. 5F Information
2. STG Adaptation -> function 10
3. Choose (13) - Vehicle function list BAP-tire_pressure_system_0x07
4. Set value to active
verified if (14)-Vehicle function list BAB-tire_pressure_system_0x07_msg_bus have value: Suspension data bus

1. 5F Information
2. STG Adaptation -> function 10
3. Choose (56)-Vehicle menu operation-menu_display_rdk
4. Set value to active
verified if this option is actiated: (58)- Vehicle menu operation-menu_display_rdk_over_threshold_high

1. 17 Instruments
2. STG Long Coding -> function 7
3. Byte 04
4. Enable bit 0 -> Indirect Tire Pressure Monitoring System(TPMS) instaled.

Hi, I have just had a guy to code TPMS according to your instructions, but after driving about 12km the TPMS status on the Bolero keep saying "starting". Did you have this problem?

Thank you very much I could enable TPMS, TPMS menu comes under Settings->Tyre settings.

Indian version of Octavia-3 has a TP switch in the bolero system, unfortunately this is not working, can you help me in enabling this.

TP button would normally be a Traffic Program button, giving you traffic news. This was on the previous Bolero models, but not on current UK bolero. Can you post a pic?

Thanks for the clarification, Yes it is Traffic Program(checked the user manual) and it is not enabled in India.

Hello guys,

Even if I posted some questions/concerns a few time ago, I still hadn't managed to enable TMPS on my Octavia MK3, 1.2l R4 TSI engine.
The full description of my ABS module is:

Address 03: ABS Brakes (J104) Labels: 5Q0-907-379.clb
   Part No SW: 5Q0 907 379 A HW: 5Q0 907 379 A
   Component: ESC H75 0333
   Revision: 00000000 Serial number:
   Coding: 1A076A9120212A730077060301CC245856045400608024F00028000040
   Shop #: WSC 73430 031 00063
   ASAM Dataset: EV_Brake1UDSContiMK100ESP 008020
   ROD: EV_Brake1UDSContiMK100ESP_SK37.rod
   VCID: 3A7BD463BDAA42CE9A7-806F

Normally to enable this feature you can "just" change the last 3 Bytes from 004002 to 70C002, but on the 5Q0907379A ABS unit there is a Byte missing in the end compared to 5Q0907379R.

Any ideas of the correct coding for this type of ABS module?

Thank you

For anyone stumbling upon this topic in the future. I have successfully activated Indirect TPMS on my Skoda Octavia 2016 2.0TDI DSG. I did it using OBDeleven.

The exact procedure is:

1. Connect to car

2. Navigate to 03-Brakes

3. Click on Long coding

4. Navigate to Byte 27

5. Check Bit4,5,6

6. Navigate to Byte 28

7. Check Bit7.

8. Send the changes

9. Connect to 5F-Multimedia

10. Click on adaptation

11. navigate to Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2

12. Change to activated

13. navigate Car_function_adaptions_gen2

14. Navigate to menu_display_rdk

15. Change to activated

16. Send the changes

17. Connect to 17-Dashboard

18. Long coding

19. Select Byte 04

20. check bit 0-Indirect TPMS

21. Send the coding.

  • Love it! 1
