P2111, P2112, engine lamp on and glow light flashing

Featured Replies

Hello everyone!

I have those two error messages (which are throttle valve control unit sticking open and throttle valve control unit sticking close), engine and a flashing glow light.

The throttle body and EGR removed and cleaned (were in very bad condition).

Nothing changed since cleaned, errors coming back continuously.

Plate 58, DSG, 170, 70000miles.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated..

Looks like you'll need to replace the throttle valve/anti-shudder valve, or at least take it off for cleaning, from what I've just read this fault can stop DPF regeneration, so beware of excess soot build up before having it fixed

After replace do i need to do any VCDS alignment or just "plug and play"?

I think I found the problem. 1 tooth gone.

Anything I can do or need a new one?

An other question, I have a 03L 128 063 C unit, the AC instead of C is still fit to my car?

Any compatibility list of this online? I can't find yet.

I had exactly the same issue on my car. I ended up having a new throttle valve unit fitted.

It was around £500.

I hope you fix it yourself. Please let us know?

Job done! Thank you very much your help.

03L 128 063 AF £168, fixed myself in 1hour, no VCDS needed, error codes deleted themselves, DPF clear now. Me? Absolutely happy!

Good effort.

I wish I had done that. And saved a few pounds.

Looks to be quite a few changes to the internals of the unit
