Welcome to the Forum.

Enjoy your new car.

It depends what tyres you intend finally having fitted.

Maybe get one of the odd ones now, the Khumo or Conti on the Spare, an get 2 Pairs of the same tyres on the car now.

(The Dunlops if Sports Max are probably the Smallest in Diameter if measured against the Khumo & Conti.

If you have a Directional Tyre on the Spare, there is a 50 / 50 chance if you need to put it on the car that it is the correct direction.

So you will possibly need to use it only until you change back to the Wheel /Tyre that needs repaired or Replaced

if you fit it and it is for the wrong side / direction.

& You might want to drive according to one Directional Tyre fitted for the wrong direction.

Because the Tyres are not always the same size from Brand / Tread /Wear even if marked as 205 /40 R 17,

you might want to still use the Spare what ever you get until you change again.

So that in Normal use there are 4 tyres on the rims with the correct direction of tyre when on the car.
