Anyone tried fitting a bike rack?

Featured Replies

So I'm more of a fair weather cyclist and with my old golf I'd throw my bike on to my saris bones 3 rack and my loving wife would drop me at work. I hadn't really thought much about fitting a bike rack to the rapid but then I stumbled upon the issue that my current rack wouldn't fit due to the glass boot and the gap to fit the top straps in to.

Fortunately the rather large boot came to the rescue in this instance, however doesn't work long term. So I did a bit of web searching and ordered so 'hatch huggers' (saris recommended for the car)

Just wondered if anyone else has had any success or experience... Like where do I attach it so it doesn't look like it's about to fall off?

I'll add some pictures when my wife gets back....

I've been looking into the same thing but I think due to the back window I've only been able to find the roof rack and towbar fitted ones

Saris do say it will fit with these hatch hungers but only two bikes at a time... Although worried about the seal on the top getting damaged by the straps...
