All my bookmarked images on the home screen have disappeared. :(

Continuity works brilliantly :-) I was upstairs with my iPad (ooerr) and my iPhone was downstairs. When my wife rang me the iPad also started ringing, and I was able to take the call on it rather than rush downstairs, trip over one of the dogs and break bones. So its practically a lifesaver! [emoji106]

Can you tell what settings to go to please?

Chris, the iPhone and iPad need to be on iOS 8, signed into the same Apple ID, and on the same wifi network. If you're still having issues with it not working when you ring your iPhone from a third phone, then on the iPad go into Settngs | FaceTime, and check iPhone Mobile Calls is switched on (it should be by default).

 

Not only can you receive calls on your iPad, but, if you want to go all Dom Joly, you can make them too (assuming all the above is met).

I managed to download but to verify that were another issue - They must of pulled the update somewhere between me downloading the update and verifying it! Glad they did when they did though as I have heard stories of users getting no service once upgraded.

"No Service" exactly the issue I'm having since updating iPad 2

I know there is a signal because I had no problem using 3G in the same places before the update.

Will not find a signal unless switched completely off and on again.

Driving me crackers but, as far as I know, you can't go back to iOS7

I guess I'll have to put up with it until the next update, unless someone knows different?

iOS 8.1 available on Monday.

Yep it will be ruined.

I have 8.0.2 on my cellular 3rd gen and it is fine, well, maybe an exaggeration, as it is slow, but so was iOS 7. 

 

having seen the October launch of the new iPad air etc, the new ones seem soon much faster than my 2 year old 3rd gen one.

Mine was pretty much unusable - constant crashes and reboots, and everything was dog slow. Fortunately I rolled back to 7 and it was like new again.

My issue with 3G seems to be resolved.

I went hunting on an apple forum and a hard reset was suggested.

Done and working as it should again. Still got a small issue with a couple of apps crashing but I can live with that.
