Yes I am planning on getting a very light shade at the front have not fully decided yet as I am 2 minds, also with the Octy the ass sits quite hi aswell so that doesn't make it much easier for parking in the day time let alone the night

But sacrifices have to be made :P

Looking forward to the "VOSA came and tested my car and prohibited me driving it" thread - with the "**** you" attitude you obviously have to the law, I can only hope.

Rear is getting limo tinted with no tint on the front

What I ment by sacrifices mark was regarding parking up at night and not having good visability

did not mean to offend anyone so if anything has been said out of line no hard feelings

I have near limo on my back windows and it looks spot on (silver octy estate mk11)

A lot has been said that the police waste their time targeting the motorist -- with that attitude it is little wonder.

Mike, wouldn't your HIDs be illegal?  I know they are down here as they need headlight washers & self-levelling to meet design rules.  If that's not the case in the UK then disregard my question.

I'm just saying we all make decisions on the level of risk we are willing to carry.  eg: Down here it was illegal (until recently) to fit ISOfix baby seats to cars with ISOfix mounts as the local industry wouldn't get off their khybers and fit ISOfix, therefore they lobbied the government to make it illegal.  It didn't stop a lot of people from self-importing & take the risk of breaking the law so that their kids were safer in the car.

It surprises me that the minimum VLT on the front windows is 70%.  That's almost unnoticeable.  30%VLT is the standard down here.  I've been running 20% since 2008.  Police don't seem to notice.

Maybe just as well you're in Oz then :)

Probably best for all involved :p

I don't get why people get so riled up because somebody has broken the rules slightly - it's not like everyone is squeaky clean all the time.
