Thanks Andy (Auric Goldfinger) for bringing the wifes CitiGo

After a deep cleanse and decontamination of the paintwork,  it revealed a largely swirl free bodywork

Polished with a finishing pad via my DAS-21 and Rupes Rotary with G3 light polish

Paintwork then cleaned with CarPro Eraser

Now onto the protection

I suggested to Andy that a sealant would be best on a yellow car and would be good for durability if I used some:

Obsessive Detail Nano-UV Protect Clarity Sealant

This was applied via red soft sponge applicator pad and buffed off 15 mins later with a Carpro Orange MF cloth as per instuctions

Sun Roof and windows sealed with Gtechnik G5

Wheels and door shuts applied with Sonax BSD

Tyres dressed with Megs Tyre Shine

Here is the result: (No before pictures..They wouldnt have shown much)

Due to the slickness of the paint I've knocked 7000th of a second off the 0-60 time and achived an extra 0.87 MPG

Is that the sealant Mark has in the group buy currently?  I think it was compared to Hellshine Abyss in that thread, how do they compare in your (or anyone elses) opinion?

 

And to go slightly off topic sorry, there are a few packages on the website that look decent value dependent on the quality of the sealant and wax.  Has anyone used the wax and are able to compare it to more common waxes?

Yes its a product Mark is going to do in the GB

Very easy to use ...but used it first time today so cant compare it to Abyss, except that its applied as a spray onto an applicator, then buffed 15 mins later

Abyss is applied like a hard wax ...even though its pure sealant

you wouldnt be the first one to say that, cant type fast enough to keep up with my brain and evidently clairvoyance isn't a skill in massive abundance on Briskoda  :p

 

However had you managed to read my mind, you would have known i was referring to the obsessive detail website http://obsessivedetail.co.uk/?product=obsessive-detail-winter-protection-package which have a couple of reasonably priced kits listed.  If the wax and sealant are both of decent quality then it a decent shout to me.

 

Also regarding the Abyss I know you and Dinski have the paste version, but isnt the spray the same beast, just with a different delivery method?  Even the spray abyss is considerably more expensive than the spray at the website above, which made the comparison interesting.

I should have obsidian artdekotsos wax here with me today and some NGPS So once I have used them I will let you know.
