Ex-Kent Police Octy Mk1 vRS advert!

"Evening All!"

Whilst perusing the www, I stumbled upon a car with a rather unusual past.....

White was the most common, followed by some silver, however having seen this one, it's got me wondering how many more yellow ones were used for the Police?!?  (even my own!)

I'd love a yellow estate, it's the only colour variant of the Mk1 VRS I haven't seen. I'd love to know what tax loophole they've found though; £125 for 6 months? Mine was £285 for 12! :o "Low band" car tax it most definitely is not, unless there's an exemption for ex-Police vehicles? :wondering: Definitely not a 6 speed either but I do wish it had the extra gear for motorway cruising.

"Been a driver training vehicle for Kent police google the reg and see pictures of car parked up. "

That's the interesting part.

Could mean abused to heck and back by clueless Noob mistakes, or well maintained and not treated as harshly as a patrol car....

Well, I've got a DVD of a Metropolitan Police response training class. On screen they are encouraged to push the capabilities of the car down the road, but not to jump kerbs or exceed speed limits like they do in certain TV shows.

Maintenance was a bit poor February 2016 when it was MOT'd, nice that all was done quick and a Pass 2 days later.

I like but its not overly cheap for the mileage

It does have a six speed box though.

Reverse is a speed ;)
