Omg the tailgate boot lid on estate full of water!

Hi anyone else have this ?

Car was left for week when we were away but never noticed it before !

Calling dealer Monday but when driving rear passenger heard sloshing!!

So when opened water cone out from behind the plastic bit around electric boot button,then as closing even more comes out,as it goes up and Down you can hear the water moving inside the boot lid !

I'm worried it will rust from the inside out now!!! Or am i being paranoid?

Car going in for 1st service in 3weeks but don't want to wait now!

No your not being paranoid, if water is getting in and getting trapped it will rust from the inside out. This carry on with vag cars trapping water in doors is getting beyond the joke.

No short term concerns on the rust front but it needs to be addressed ASAP.

Quality control issues. We have a new rapid in work, after a day of heavy rain there must be at least 5 litres of water build up in skin of each of rear doors and as original op states you can hear or sloshing around. Removing the lower seals and water floods out for a good 15-20 seconds at a high flow rate

On the Rapid there is a rear door seal mod which should have been done before you got it. Thankfully mine was done at PDI [emoji106]

Had the same issue. Turned out to be the gasket round the high level brake light.

How does the rain get in? The brake light is practically pointing downwards. I would have suggested the seal between the top of the rear spoiler and the boot lid.
