Poor fuel consumption?

Featured Replies

Yes, of course the real-time display, but still scary when you see it... :)

In Fabia III real-time consumption is labeled on Maxi dot simply as "Consumption", while the other one is labeled "Avg. Consumption Since Start".

For avg. consumption since refuelling, though, you need to check Bolero as far as I know. So far I'm doing 5.3l/100km, which is cca. 53.5 mpg.

Hi - when your MFD is showing Avg Consumption "Since start" - then click down on the right-side roller, and it will cycle through "Long-Term", "Since Last Re-Fuel", and back to "Since Start".

  • I believe that you keep focusing on the wrong thing (gauge position) and still ignoring what's really important (avg consumption).   Anyway, when you refuel the car, you will be a able to calculate

  • Yeh poss its like everything though, its how you drive it. If you want to do 70-80 on the motorway the diesel im sure will be WAYYYYY ahead of the tsi. However i reckon at 55-60 there won't be much in

Yes! :) I actually just realized it this morning, but thanks for pointing it out. Pretty neat.

Currently averaging 40.8 mpg in the Spaceback (averaged 38.8 mpg in the hatchback over ~17K miles).

Both 1.2 TSi 105 BHP and mainly used around town (long-term average speed is typically ~20 mph), on this basis not disappointed with MPG.
