I'll have the white one off the top of the lorry please!

Man I like this car soooo much.... Please let them put the 2.0 170 TDi in it!

its soo cute! lol i want one :)

wow, Volkswagen didnt have to think much about that design did they lol

lol, mini golf it certainly is. looks very good tho :)

does look good i agree :)

does anyone know what engine its meant to have?

twin turbo R32 engine i heard, haldex too :)

that was from a 'reliable' source down the pub ;)

The only engine size I can make out in the posts is a 1.8t 150bhp. I can't see them using that relatively dated engine in it, no?

I like Tom's idea of the 1.4 TSI.

They use the 150 and 180 bhp 1.8T in the Ibiza so I dont see why not in the Polo.

Cant see them going the 2.0T as thats in the Golf and I think they are prolly a bit too cautious to put that in the little Polo, although there is a pansy de tuned 2.0T spec.

Our contact at VW UK HQ told us that it's use the 1.8 20vT engine, brought up to Euro emissions standards.

This was a turnaround from last year when he told us it'd use "new technology" (ie 1.6 FSI Turbo or the 1.4 TSI).

:D Nothing against the 1.8 20vt of course - its a fantastic engine, I just thought veedub might try something different. but then if a technology isn't broke, why fix it? Maybe the person saying about 150cv 1.8t was speaking with some good prior knowledge.

Very smart

It's going to be the 150 apparently.

I hated the "Bono's sunglasses" design of the front lights up to now, but seeing the GTI grille it all makes sense! I quite like it now!

I like it to, I think it looks better than the Golf

the brakes look fairly big too, i always thought that was the weak point of previous polo GTi's.

the only bad thing i can see effecting this car is going to be the price tag ;)

:iagree:

If the 1.4TSI doesn't make it, then my moneys on the 180 1.8 20vT. As for a diesel varient...? As Lummox said, the 130TDi is in the current sporty Polo, maybe a 150, or a 2.0 varient? Please!

But it will cost oh so much money :finger:

Liking that a lot! Wonder how much that is going to sting you???

Nothing has been released yet by means of official prices, specs etc. Or indeed even whether it will be released in the UK or not.

If it does arrive, I suspect it to be the wrong side of

Already said but I agree, Baby Golf, but it suits the front end better than the Golf.

Why Oh Why put old technology in it. :(

Commendable 180BHP is the obvious choice. Ze Germans will go for 150BHP then.

what ever it starts out at we already know the end ;)
