What Polisher do you want?

I think he is after advice on which polisher to buy.

Until last week I was a 'virgin' with a polisher, but have sought advice and read quite a bit before diving into polishing my new car.

General consensus seems to be to get a Dual Action (DA) polisher and that the DAS-6 (or 6 Pro) is one of the most suitable ones around for a novice with only one or two cars to maintain. There is an ongoing deal via Detailing World where you can get £15 off the price at Clean Your Car using the relevant code (see weblink). I used the DAS-6 last week and found it very easy to use (for a virgin) and would consider this as suitable for my needs now and well in to the future as I have no intention of polishing big cars or lots of cars so wouldn't need anything with a larger throw (such as the 21's).

With the offer it makes it 5p under £100 pound, so add one more item and get free delivery as well!

Hope that helps, but I am sure others will be along soon to add further advice. In fact someone has beaten me to it...

DAS6 Pro and Sonax 04-06

As you only asked for advice, that is all I'll offer. I've only had one machine polisher, my DAS6 Pro from Clean Your Car. I still find it great for my requirements and would very much recommend one. It should be well within your budget with plenty left for polishes. I find Scholl Concepts S17+ to be a great all rounder. There are, of course, numerous other machines and polishes available- I'm sure others can widen your options for you.

Sorry amended now I've read it correctly

Yes. A DA6 pro is a perfect buy and a purchase of Sonax 04/06 polish will be perfect for you

Instruction tutorial still available if you want it

To be honest if it's only for your car and a bit of a weekend warrior you would be just as well with the DAS6 I had this as my first polisher and it did everything I needed, I found it a little heavy to work with some times but for the price you can not complain.

DAS6 Pro and Sonax 04-06

just made this very same purchase in the last week or so after advice from the crowd in here and it seems to do the job just fine. The DAS21 does correct faster, but the das6pro from cyc is perfectly capable. Decent resale value too if you decide to chuck it/upgrade after a while.

I would have said take a look on the Autobrite sale items/thread; as the DA-21 kit; including pads and polishes was £140.

I used the Group Buy pads to good effect on the DA-21... similar to the DAS-21e.

...sadly now sold out by the looks of it.

I'm sure a few more bargain deals/kits may appear in the run upto Xmas

This IS available for not a lot more...inc. of polish and pads

I have this and its fantastic...but needs some practice ...

Probably best, in your case to go for the DAS-6 Pro

Just a point from me, don't go DAS-6, go DAS-6 Pro. The DAS 6 doesn't have enough grunt. It makes correction difficult.

That is a very capable machine and will serve you well.

FYI - Discount is now only 5% Mick; but postage prices were also re-aligned to help overall cost reduction.

Surely you can't get discount on top of discount?
