Pickup: Adapting Alternator

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I have a 1.3i Skoda Pickup with a 90A  noisy magnetón alternator.  The bearing plate were broken.  Some one gave me a Brand new Bosch 120A alternator    (well, refurbished and from Korea).

Is  it posible to adapt this alternator to my pickup since the "nuts" are in the rigth side (not in the left as in the magnetón) and the pulley is a little bit wider?

It is very difficult to find a spare here (Bogotá).

Any suggestion?

There is an article in a Polish forum that describes how to do it.You need to register. Use Chrome browser to translate.

This is the link and some photos from there.
