Octavia vRS Mk2 FL CR DSG hatch - £8850 with mods, £8450 without - needs selling as moving

Pains me to start this but moving has justified the need to sell.

So, for sale, my Skoda Octavia vRS hatchback CR diesel DSG in White, WJ11UOH.

The car has done nearly 85k but this will rise with use.

Service History

- first registered 3/3/2011

- 4/6/2011, 7654 miles, oil change, skoda Milton keynes

- 23/10/2012, 41504 miles, full service, skoda Milton keynes

- 9/8/2013, 60940 miles, full service and brake fluid change, vw independent specialist

- 5/8/2014, 77078 miles, oil change, DSG oil change, cambelt/water pump change, new rear discs and pads, independants

The car is on long life servicing hence the distance between services, however it was used to trundle up and down the motorway rather than lots of short distances. As you can see it has everything major done recently. It will need a brake fluid change next August and a service when that comes around (maxi dot shows 13k left to go)

MOT until 13/3/15

2 previous owners (and me)

Standard features

-full interior leather in good condition, no collapsed side bolsters

- rare DSG gear box, silky smooth

- auto xenon lights with auto height adjust and cornering capability

- Bolero HU with intergrated Bluetooth

- Maxidot with MFSW

- Cruise control

- Auto wipers

- 18 inch Neptune alloys, with 4mm tyres all round (fronts are Michelin PS3, rear Pirelli P Zeros)

- electric heated wing mirrors

- dual zone climate control

-rear parking sensors

Bits I've added

- Pipercross performance panel air filter

- PI 35mm lowering springs

- whiteline Rear anti roll bar

- replaced drops links all round with Lemforder ones, done at same time as springs and RARB then had 4 wheel laser alignment done

- Added spare wheel and jack kit as it didn't come with one

- DTUK CrDT tuning box

- in addition to standard summer wheels, car has Audi A3 16 inch wheels with winter tyres (5mm all round)

I am only reluctantly selling due to moving, and if I could keep it I would, however the Mrs wants to keep her Audi A3 black series, so mine has to go.

I am looking for £8850 with winter wheels, RARB, tuning box and spare wheel kit. Buyer will get the original springs and RARB which I've kept or

£8450 without the mods.

Well I'd be happy if it was sold before new year, but I'm not in a rush as won't be moving till April time, but a quick sale would stop me spending money on it- saw some heated seats at a breakers from another vrs the other day.......

Not with a diesel ;-) lowest ive got on a really hard run was 31....best was 52 on a trip to Scotland....or u could change the tuning box to the negative boost so she couldn't use as much fuel ;-)

My main issue is my mrs drives our daily more than I do, give her paddles and shed turn into Lewis Hamilton racing everything & the mpg would be down in the low 20's lol

It's still an economical car with the DSG box, I'm getting 46mpg on average which is higher than my previous manual 320d. I would recommend a DSG. I tried a DSG Passat a few years ago and wasn't sure but after having an Octavia DSG as a loan car for a month I was converted. Wouldn't go back to a manual now.

No interest?priced too high?any ideas?

I don't think you have priced this too high, it's a great spec car, quite clearly looked after in a great colour and subtle mods. Maybe slightly highish mileage for age but that is reflected in the great price. Your car at a dealer with 40k on the clock would be £12k plus!

I would definitely recommend advertising on ebay at the same time as on here. I advertised my last car which was similar spec and mileage on here for two weeks late Sept, early Oct last year without interest. I advertised on ebay (cost £15) on a Wed, took my first phone call on Thu, first viewing on Fri and sold for cash on Sat.

I would still recommend advertising on here but you will get a much wider audience on ebay or autotrader (a bit more expensive)

I'd go back to a DSG at the drop of a hat, the CR/DSG combo is spot on. Just couldn't get a deal on one in the Golf.

Likewise, I would go back to dsg in a heartbeat, I thought I would cope well with a manual but miss the auto every day!

This is very well priced, there are pre facelift dsg's out there for more money!
